    tournament tomorrow

Very late, but keep your putts flatter in the wind. This will have less effects of wind direction.

    D.I.S.C. rules

*I hope this is in the proper forum thread* I play a lot of DISC with my friends prior to tags. For those that don't know, its HORSE with two discs. I'm a bit confused when it comes to giving out letters though. For example: Lets say there's three players playing. First player goes and...

    Unification Theory

Sorry for not being clear - I'll try the hockey stick to see if that helps.

    Unification Theory

I have a question about adding the first and second drills - shifting with the hips - into the last explosion step of a throw. I've been working with this drill for a while now, but seem to go back to my old ways when applying in the field (in my final explosion step, I'm essentially pushing...

    Get out of trouble shots

What are you doing off the box to get into that trouble? Played a course with a corridor par 5 (579 ft). Nastiness left and right. I went Mcpro roc 3, Mcpro roc 3, layup putter for the easy 4. Previously, it went - crank on a driver to rough, scramble, scramble, scramble some more to save the 6.

    Clearing the lie

    Cool, Thanks!

    Clearing the lie

This question is in relation to objects in front of the lie. I understand the ruling of loose objects behind, but is there a ruling for in front? An example - during a previous tournament, I found my lie among lots of loose rock debris. There were larger rocks right in my follow through step...

[Discmania] cd (super flat and over stable)

I had an S line that performed similar to my CD2 - ended up going w/ the CD2. If you're looking for run info etc, I'd suggest the FB 'Discmania Collectors and Throwers' page.' Lots of good people and info on there.

New Field Work Game in the Works

Hi All, I was working on a new field game last night that I thought was interesting enough to share. Its essentially Bocce, but you can add tweaks and rules like 4-square. 1. Choose a path to work along (I was at my neighborhood high school's track). 2. Throw along the path line and see...

    Course round ratings

I hope this is the right place for this thread - but is there a place/link that shows what a 1000 rated round is for a course? If you watch CCDGs laters "Starter Pack Challenge," you'll hear Ian mention par at De La is 1000. Just curious what my local courses are rated.

    HyzerUnibomber

Absolutely, but from your answer, it sounds like you already have a skeleton to work with. For now, I'll be using a keyword search :D

Jason, I'm wondering if you have a suggestion of a progression for your technique videos? I thought this would be more beneficial to all as a post than as a private message. Thanks!!

One step forward, two steps back

I'm finding the same problems. Two things that helped me here: Establishing my grip around the index finger first and fixing my pull back to the wide rail - almost Philo like. I found when I was going bent arm like Simon my nose started and ended up.

    Moving up in distance

It is, especially when its as simple as a disc change. Just got an S line CD2 in the mail and it travels at least 20 ft further than my C lines.

    Moving up in distance

Yea, definitely vague, but I relate it to a parent asking when their child will walk. Some can expect 9 months, others 15 and anywhere in between. But in relation to your putter comment - I can normally put those at 270', give or take 20'.

    Moving up in distance

FD, CD2, PD, DD and DD2. My P2 I can regularly put around 270, but I don't gauge distance with it - I throw them before and after my drives for form clarity. The time this takes will come down to a number of factors: 1. how ingrained a certain motion is 2. Having good drills to relearn the...

    Moving up in distance

Here's a pretty vague/open ended question about gaining distance, but I'd like to poll this for an average: When working on distance, Slowplastic (among others) mentioned your lower/max distances will become easier. When the DG community works on distance, about how long did it take you to...

    Accuracy/Footing Question

Try to isolate the step to heel rotation. If you keep your focus on that one aspect of your throw, it will become second nature. I've been working this way and its really helped, but its been a long process. Eventually, you'll begin to feel when your body is not inline for your proper throw...
