That a hole should have a legitimate route from the pad to the basket? Yeah, that's a pretty standard view, for any player that has gone beyond recreational status.
I'm not trying to be a jerkstore of nothin, but this is kind of what I am talking about. Based on what you have said here, I would have zero interest in reading a review of yours.
Really? I think it has everything to do with course design. But hey, if you aren't concerned with the legitimacy of certain holes, thats your business.
I don't think it is a matter of intelligence and I am not trying to question the intentions of any newer players that write reviews. However, without a good understanding of what the top pro's can do on a course, it's hard to be objective.
Maybe people should add in their score from the last time they played the course. When people tell me about how great concerts were, I always ask them what drugs they were on. Drugs make a difference, for sure.
Don't get me wrong. I am very helpful to beginners on the course. I never hesitate to teach people about the game. I never say no to someone who is looking for a course guide.
Think of this from a business stand point. Why would you create something for a demographic that does not exist? Par 3's were created to meet a demand. The demand was from golfers who want to play, but don't have 4 or 5 hours to commit to it.
I understand exactly what you are saying and I...
Actually, this is a good discussion. I would prefer all of the courses to be long, championship courses, but I would also prefer to get paid a billion dollars every week at work, doesn't mean it's going to happen.
Ball golf courses are made for good golfers. PAR is established by pro...
That's a solid point. That said, it seems as though the easiest solution would be to let people know if it is beginner friendly or not. Any information, outside of that, should be left to the more experienced players. Again, this is just my opinion. I would never want to read a review of a...
I've read plenty of reviews with bad information from fledgling disc golfers. For example, I've read bad reviews about 350 foot holes, that happened to have water covering the first two hundred feet, just because of the water. I've read complaints about having to walk uphill or holes that were...
Imagine the line you want to hit with the disc. Trace it from the basket, to the apex of the shot, back to the pad, and all the way back to the farthest point of your reach back. Reach back and touch the spot with the disc and adjust your arm and get it on the same line that you just created...
No.
I have found that the best way to get someone to stop throwing multiple drives on every hole is to throw twice as many shots as them. Just wait for them to pick up their bag, when they do, start walking to the pad with another disc. Stare at your drive, long after it has hit the ground...
