The Bi-Annual Woods Classic will be a HUGE FUNDRAISER for the MARION-POLK FOOD SHARE! This will be held bi-annually starting in March and again in late October. These events will be PDGA C-Tiered Sanctioned Events under their "PDGA Competition Endowment Program"; therefore part of everyone's entry fee will be included in a cash donation to Marion-Polk Food Share. We also will be encouraging everyone (with prizes and/or raffle tickets) to bring and donate as many food items as possible! Anything you could give could mean the world to a family in need!
So the information you all want to know:
FORMAT:
The "Classic" held at Woodmansee Disc Golf Park years ago was one of the most successful and fun events the Salem Area has ever seen. The layout used for this event was one that may never be able to be duplicated but we are trying hard to do just that! Weather or not we are going to be able to use the ball fields is still up in the air but the event is not!
This event will consist of TWO ROUNDS of 18-holes at the Woodmansee City Disc Golf Park sanctioned by the PDGA! The layouts for both rounds will be unique and having you huking Woodmansee Park like never before.
ALL WHO REGISTER ONLINE WILL BE ENTERED INTO A THE GRAND PRIZE DRAWING! This will be an EXTREMELY HUGE COLLECTION of items we get donated from event sponsors!
BUY-INS:
OPEN: $30
ADVANCE: $25
INTERMEDIATE: $20
JUNIORS: $15
($4 + 25% of entry fees are to be donated to MARION-POLK FOOD SHARE)
TROPHIES FOR TOP 5 IN ALL DIVISIONS
CASH Payouts for OPEN Divisions
SCRIP Payouts for AMATEUR DIVISIONS
As this is the day before Easter....
There will also be an Easter Egg hunt for players and spectators! Easter Eggs could hold coupons for free discs, for discounts at event sponsors, and/or for other prizes!
