This will be the ninth year for this awesomely fun event brought to you by the Waterloo Disc Golf Club.
It will be held at the "Best Little Disc Golf Course In Texas" ~ The Flying Armadillo !!!!
- the longest hole is 150ft and the shortest is 77ft
- it's PERFECT for family fun and growing the sport of disc golf!
The criteria for this event will be Teams of: 1 Parent/Family Adult and 1 Child
The inspiration for this is the opportunity for kids and their parents/adult family to play a disc golf round together. Too many times we go to events and never get to relax with our kids or show them why we love the sport so much. Here is your way to make it a lifetime memory and lifetime sport for your family.
Details:
~ 1 Round of 18 Holes
~ 1 Parent/Family Adult and 1 Child will make up a Team
~ Doubles Event with Alternating Throws for each Team
~ Team Divisions will be determined by the YOUNGER person's age - AS OF THE DATE OF THE EVENT, JULY 10, 2021.
You Will Register/Play The Division According To The YOUNGER Team Member's Age - (age as of the date of the event, JULY 10, 2021)
Age Groups:
Up to 5 years
6 yrs to 8 yrs
9 yrs to 11 yrs
12 yrs to 14 yrs
15 yrs to 17 yrs
18+ yrs (Some of you older Father/Son, Mother/Daughter, Father/Daughter, and Mother/Son teams need some bonding time too)
The additional benefit of this event will be that your donations will go directly to help kids through E.D.G.E. (Educational Disc Golf Experience - www.edgediscgolf.org ). The donation will be a portion of each team's entry fee.
Entry: $35 or $40 Entry Per Team, depends on the child's age ($5.00 per entry goes to E.D.G.E.)
Registration: Begins Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 8pm; available online through Disc Golf United (DGU); ends when the event fills up or on Wednesday, July 7th, at 10:00 pm
Players Pack: Minimum of 2 discs and 1 mini per team (at least 1 of them an event stamped disc), and hopefully more added later with support from our sponsors. Sorry, but lunch is NOT included this year. However, we will have food available for sale at the event.
Limit: 54 Teams
Time: Check-in and Late Registration (if spots still available) starts at 9:00 am July 10th /Tee off around 10:30 am
*YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED UNTIL YOU PAY FOR IT*
(we cannot "hold" spots for you....first paid, first registered)
- The wait list will only be started once the event fills up and then that order will be according to the date/time you requested to be placed on it via phone/Facebook/email/in-person.
If you have more than one child and would like them to participate; still register them as a another team. If you do not have another "adult" family member for them as a partner (uncles and aunts work well too!), we will try our best to get your youth a partner so you can still be together and play! Be sure to let us know if you need someone.
** SPONSORS NEEDED** (we have no criteria, but we will accept it all for the event to help our raffle, prizes, and payout) The more you donate the more the kids get!
** Volunteers Needed for staff **
This is a great opportunity to introduce someone new to the sport, make it a family day for everyone, spend time with youngsters, and make memories that will last.
