[Dynamic] Lucid Truth First Run w/ Pics

I didn't read this whole thread, so sorry if this has been answered, but how would a Truth fly at 450ft of power? I can get a Buzzz out to about 380 in a straight line if I really crank on it FWIW. Would I see more high speed turn than a Buzzz? Also if anyone has a comparison to a Prodigy M3 (the new one), that would be very helpful as well.

If you can throw a buzzz 380ft I imagine getting a Truth to 400+ wouldn't be that difficult. I think every Truth but a slightly beat in lucid one should hold up to high speed stability as well as any buzzz in any plastic including Ti. If you really want the extra stability a max weight biofuzion is probably the best choice right now. I prefer the hybrid, opaque lucid, or straight up fuzion for plastic feel but the bio throws nice lines and can take a decent headwind. Never thrown the M3. Can't help there.

Got my 172g Lucid in the mail yesterday and am excited to throw it! Stupid work getting in the way of fun.....

Thanks Steeze! Sounds all the plastics would do fine. I need to find bubblegum pinks and white Hybrids.

You won't find any of the bubblegum pinks in the first run but the yellows are all opaque and nice. Pink and the other colors are all translucent, a little gummy, and slightly less hss. All really good though you're going to love the glide and lines if you are a fan of the buzzz. I'm considering trying to flat top one of my bios. They don't have much of a dome anyway but I think it might be interesting to try.

Not true steeze, they are out there ;)

So, I'd love to find a Buzzz in Swedish plastic. My only question about the Truth is this: Is the rim flat or ever so slightly angled like most other molds from Lat?

Thanks. Sweden has been conquering my bag. Only my Buzzz's, Comets, and Zones have been holding out. It will take a good bit to push them out, if it can really be done.

I wish dd would tell lat slant rims suck! I like a lot of their molds so much that I'm actually throwing them where as every lat disc I gave up on I just think they would be the best thing out right now if they had a classic style rim!

Thousands would say latitude is the best out right now... and that is in part because of the rim design. I think it works great with what they are putting out, and though I'm not a designer, molder, or flight specialist, I'm sure the design was created for a reason. I wouldnt want lat putting out the same rim configurations as other companies. I could go on and on, but it boils down to preference I guess.

Oh for sure it's definitely preference I'm just so used to straight rims that the slant rims mess with me, i also feel like i kinda lose snap with the slant could just be placebo though. I know I could get used to it, there's just those few molds I can never replace with lat or even dd at this point like destroyers teebirds and CE Qjls oh and Rocs of course! And as long as those are bagged I will have to throw straight and slant and switching between the two kills my consistency.

Slant rims suck huh?

I suppose that's your opinion. ..but they seem to be wildly successful for Lat/DD/WS.

I've played for around 15 years and only started throwing Lat stuff about 3 years ago. Seemed like an easy transition. Feldbeard has shown that it is doable on the professional level.

Have you tried the Truth? Are you just complaining for the sake of it? You could just keep chucking your non-slants and move along.

Don't look at your precious innova too close a ton of those discs are slanted.

Especially don't look at current dx rocs. Plus rims are almost the norm amd finding a straight rim is harder and harder.

Legacy has straight rims on all their molds.

^this

Every disc is slanted to some extent.the truth isnt even noticeably slanted to me and i have thrown some slanted **** ie: roc +,pd,halo, riot etc

Truth is definitely longer than a buzzz and is borderline fairway fast too, glide is there, speed is there, hss and lss are there too. The one thing i always loved about the buzzz is that i could throw it like a driver, the truth is the same way. Ive been throwing mine for a month or so and its very reliable and true to its flight, ive been using a core for the less stable/lazer beam flight until i beat in a truth to take that spot. The truth is super straight as is,but does have a little lss when new. No big deal though, buzzzs start out the same way and beat into effortless lazer beam discs,i expect the truth to be no different just longer.

This makes me happy. I made the same transition. I agree completely about it being very buzzz like. This thing is money for FH approaches.

I'd say its .5 faster and .5 less lss than a buzzz. But I greatly prefer it.

That one looks pretty translucent in the pic. Grab a yellow from the first run and try that picture. You won't see what's behind the flight plate. That's what I'm saying when I mean opaque. I like the pinks though I have one in the bag. Just more gummy than the hybrid imo.

Lol ok man. Of course it's my opinion and trust me I know there is slant innova I don't throw them though I have boxes of Ching Rocs so no issue there. And you can hate all you want I never there molds suck Infact I said I really like them I just wish when I throw them I didn't have to switch back and forth between innova straight and dd slant! Havnt thrown the truth yet but I do have the verdict and judge in my bag already and have a trespass on the way to try out.

Precious innova lol you guys on dgcr are funny, trust me I know all about the innova plus rims, but I got plenty backups for all my innova molds that are definately not plus. That's why I don't buy production innova typically and if I do I go to the local shop and finger through stacks of plastic I want. I also have a friend who has been a local pro for over 20 years who has Rubbermaid on top of Rubbermaid full of old plastic so I rarely have to deal with the headache of finding non plus discs!
