I love em. They tolerate my OAT inconsistencies much better than the cyclones do and are very nice overhand approach discs as well. They are also much comfier in the hand than cyclones.
I have never heard the term "rexing" before but it so accurately describes what often happens to me when I concentrate on keeping the disc close to my body. When it happens I must have my elbow really low at the hit, preventing my elbow from getting sufficiently far in front of my body.

I throw em in the 300' - 325' range and really like S-PDs around 166. I throw em flat and they have a bit of turn and not too much fade.

I think I try to work/wedge my fingers into that corner between flightplate and inner rim more than most people. I really work it in there as part of my getting a pre-throw grip.
Perhaps for some skin-types, the textured part is more grippy, but it is definitely less grippy for my hands and the difference is even more noticeable in colder weather. It is not as if it is slick, but in my case there is a tripple-whammy:
