Its me! I am playing DG again after recovering from a nasty broken back type injury. Thinking about a weekend trip to Pier, Hornings and Buxton (if i can remember how to find buxton) lost contact with all them oregon peeps, hmu! I have a mini-trailer i will be towing down there, cuz i cant sleep...
I just got my Icon Patriots last night. Threw 25 holes, short and long, hyzer and anti-hyzer. I had 4 chain-outs!! This disc is sick!!! Its kinda flippy thrown RHBH, but it does what you want it too!!
The longest hole I was on was 320 ft, slight dog leg to the left, low ceiling. The Patriot went...
I got my Pinnacle Rivals from Lion the day before christmas!!! I played 2 rounds at white river, using the Rival for all my drives and mid-range work. The cold made the disc a bit more stable than it should be, however I did get some killer 200-300 foot drives with it. I had a couple of good ace...
DONT!! Sorry to say, but listen to your DR!! I didnt listen and ended up dis-locating my L2-L5, almost ended up perminently in a wheel chair. I now have a perminent limp, and other personal physical issues. Last winter I bent over and kinda slipped a disc, and didnt listen to DR orders. 1 month...
Trust me the Bolt is flippy for ME. Its just the way I throw. I can drive a Bolt RHBH with the disc vertical and have it flip flat to slightly understable, getts good distance too. A friend of mine throws the same disc and he says its kinda stable for him. Everybody throws different. So for...
I finaly found my roller disc from heaven!! This disc is FLLLIIIIIIPPPPPPPYYYYYY!!!!!!! Scary flippy. I always wanted a disc that would go roller throwing RHBH with out forcing it. Before the Bolt, I was using a Serius Orion LS and or a star Roadrunner/Sidewinder. Those work well for rollers but...
A long distance drive is worthless if you cant sink a 8 foot putt. I throw 400+ no problem all day long, I miss 8 foot putts all day long. I do practice putting but I'm still off/on with it, more off than on ;-(
Some players will call you on any infraction they can, and for no good reason. Why?? this is the way they will "play" their game, to mess with YOU. If you know the rules, stick by them, for better or worse. The only rule infraction I will ever call on anybody is poor sportsman like conduct...
I had no problems this weekend, flew into/out of Alaska for some disc golf and general dubachery. I didn't even get scanned on my out of SEA-TAC (seattle). However I work in the medical field and had my ID badge on, so I got right thru the express lanes. I had one agent ask what my handy cap...
The best thing I ever did for my game was taking putters outa the bag. I now putt with a clasic ROC and a RW-PRO ROC. I have shaved an average of 5 strokes off my game and feel way more confident with my short game, even in nasty weather..
I did some field testing in the last 2 days with the Ghost in Icon plastic. I was able to get 340ft flat land, no wind, throwing RHBH, temp 58deg F, 45% humidity at 60ft above sea level. I took 10 drives, did the average, all shots landed within 5ft. The Ghost is slightly Overstable with lots of...
I'm not shure about the "cubby ace?" refrence, but I'm with the bogey free round vs getting an ace. I do get lots of aces, however I think I only have 1 bogey free round in a tournament. Now that made me feel WAY better than getting an ace!!
By the way, what in the world is a "cubby ace" any...
I got another ace with the Cannon at my local course this last weekend!! Thats 8 aces this year alone throwing Legacy Discs!!! The Cannon and Rampage are the 2 best distance drivers I have ever thrown. I'm never going to need any other drivers ever again, well as long as I have Legacy Discs in...
I'm gona visit family, gona try to play hilltop, kincaid, and peters creek. Then drink copius amounts of beer with my little bro in Palmer
I'm shure to run into some locals..... I'd love the oportuinity to take a bag tag home with me
When I started I was given an Avair and a Roc, that was in 1992. The Cali pro's at the time that were teaching me said "don't throw anything else, not until you can throw an avair 200ft+." I thought they were joking, until I seen a guy bomb an Avair 350ft at Shady Oaks (OV) DGC.
I wonder what...
