Mountain man and him are very close and good friends. I'm always seeing Mountain Man caddying for him at almost if not all Wisconsin events.

I legitimately thought the dude with the Purple/Blue DGW t-shirt on was Dennis Leary.

That would be very interesting and since John told us every year we went there that he has never disc golfed, maybe he did physical labor to "create" them but highly highly doubtful he had the idea or knowledge to make those and think it over about how good the holes/courses would be.

    Highbridge Hills II - Resurrection

Accurate! They also probably don't want random dudes running around doing "maintenance" on random things and having it all organized is a HUGE thing that's important for everyone and everything. I think the takeaway here is there sounds like a ton of people willing to help, it's just a matter...

    Agree with this ^^^^^^

I paid $60 and got nothing out of it and no refund. Slightly less of a story than Jarens excellent story. On a serious note, I've never been more excited for the news. Hopefully it all goes smoothly and easily but only time will tell.

It's nothing super special or unique, but I do enjoy a good round of Woodland Green if for no other reason it can be done quickest when i play with the group of 6 of us that used to go there annually.

Having met and know MM, I have absolutely no reason not to believe him. That said, I also wouldn't be surprised if John doesn't go down easily and if things prolong for years. Wish I knew if MM was just buying the (little) property John owns, or some of the surrounding property too, or if none...

You can add Abby to that list.

I recently moved out of WI but likely moving back to northern area. I basically wanted to say that Mountain Man is one of the most genuine/honest/nice/great guys who has put in tons of work on courses and done nothing but gone above and beyond for anything disc golf. I know nothing about this...

Especially because I assume this is/was somewhat of a destination place where you'd meet up with a good amount of other players. Playing these courses with 4-6 people on a card as I presume most probably do, takes so much time. I know in my less than advanced talent group it's difficult to get...

I've also played what I call Bearland Green, combo of I think bear front 11 or something and then a slight walk over to woodland to finish another like 9 holes or something, idk it's been a few years. Soon they'll be advertising 20+ courses!

Would you pay for live coverage now?

Couldn't agree more. I assumed that's the reasons for accepting donations? Forcing people to pay I personally believe will bring the number of people who watch down a lot, and at that point if people drop Patreon and force to pay per event, their money flow I would predict to be about the same...

Would you pay for live coverage now?

It seems strange to me to hear the disc golf media typically say they just do this to grow the sport or because they love the sport and want to support it somehow, or for ANY and ALL reason besides money...yet here we are everybody looking for money for content they produce while covering disc golf.

Would you pay for live coverage now?

Funny this was one thing I thought of too, but then idk how it would work with swear words and things of that nature when they are streaming on Youtube. Maybe it doesn't matter, maybe it does I have no idea but that would be kind of neat.

Would you pay for live coverage now?

That was my thought too. I have no idea how it could be done but I would hate to see you or others somewhat limited by only allowing Patreon supporters but yea I'm not sure what else it would take to do this. I do love the idea of being able to switch to a certain hole (or certain card if it can...

Would you pay for live coverage now?

Curious question: Either currently or in the future will there be any good way to donate (let's say $15) all at one time without having to do Patreon monthly payment (let's say $1 per month for the year)? More importantly coinciding with your previous statement about exclusive Patreon members...

Would you pay for live coverage now?

Antenna for life I guess. I don't have cable/satellite or anything else that costs money to watch TV. If people who live stream from Twitch can make hundreds of thousands of dollars without FORCING people to pay to watch, then there is likely no argument that will sway me to thinking being...

Would you pay for live coverage now?

I don't see the point in paying/charging to watch an event. I don't pay to watch CBS/NBC/ABC/FOX right now as it is, or any other sports/channels for that matter. People pay to watch others play video games and some of them make mega bank on that, which I'm not certain as I've never done it but...

    4 set DG Majors

This is exactly what I'm saying players and spectators would think. My only reason for posting in this thread is there are probably a million other things that COULD and maybe some SHOULD be changed with disc golf in general and this move to any sort of slam is probably the bottom of said list...
