for real? I couldn't imagine 4 putting any of those holes no matter how tired I was. I think thats a mistake. I think it was meant to say 1-4 which would be some fluke caused by an unexpected down draft with tremendous wind shear.
I've had many aces and some were crazier than others. I once threw a blind hole in a tournament at the Ace Run Ranch and couldn't locate my disc. I was looking and beginning to panic because a clock was started. Someone came walking back from the next tee to get their mini that they had...
over 4 aces an hour seems like a whole bunch of missed putts. 2900 holes played in24hrs is a good accomplishment though. Fortunately it takes a lot less effort to play the tiki course since all of the holes are putts. It would be much harder if you had to put in the effort to twist and throw...
I grew up throwing discs and started playing Ultimate at 15 and played in college at VaTech. At 30yrs old I started playing disc golf. You should be able to adapt fairly quickly to all discs as long as you throw over your opposite arm and not under it with BH drives. I always threw FH with a one...
next year I will sign up as open in 90% of the events I play. That will trick the GMs to come out in large numbers, then I will jump to GM the day of and reap the rewards. Now when I pre-reg as a GM they typically stay at home.
As soon as events become available to preregister I sign up. I pre-pay so often I may have 6 or 7 events shown as upcoming on the PDGA site. Sometimes TDs sign me up when they add their event online. It really frustrates me when I show up to an event and find out I need to pay. This just...
Ace #158 on Saturday at the Cottonmouth Classic at Munden Point. Hole #3 red tee to yellow pin. It was good for 1/3 of the ace pot, $55. And yes, another skip ace on a blind hole. Best of all it was a high speed driver on a hole under 250ft. Throw what you know.
I hit ace #157 last night. The new added hole #11 at the University of Richmond. It's not a hard hole, 150 ft straight down a hill with OB 15ft behind.
maybe the scores will get submitted on time this year. I hope you take over and make this a great event KP. It's always one of my favorite events each year. And i get to see your smiling face.
there are rare discs in my bag that I throw. Usually when something comes out I stick a team stamp or 1st run in the bag. When it gets lost I just put a stock version in to replace it. I have so many 1st runs, protos, testers, limited editions and basic rare discs that I really never need to buy...
a galvanized basket will last a lot longer than a powder coated basket. Even in the climate I live in here in Va the galvanizing begins to rust off around the welds after 15-20 yrs. This could possibly be a result of bad welds or the hot dip galvanizing process. I work for a steel company...
