Exactly.
I'm surprised at all these players on here that don't follow basic rules during tournament play. Then go on to call someone an a-hole or nazi when someone enforced a rule. What a joke.
Exactly Cgkdisc. All I did was say something.
Calling me an a55hole and a retard...childish.
I can't believe I'm being dogged for enforcing the rules in a sanctioned event. Again, calling him out was all very casual. Not a big deal at all. He knew the rules well and was actually the one who made the warning official by seconding it but whatever.
I didn't come out and say "HEY! THAT'S A WARNING FOR NOT MARKING YOUR LIE!" Nothing could be further from the truth.
Who care's. The discussion about the rules never materialized here so I'm just going to drop it.
I think this should have been a 2 stroke penalty because he advanced his disc without marking it. The group, including Anonymous Player A's know-it-all girlfriend (who was walking with our group and decided to appoint herself a rules official), decided that is should be a warning, that it fell under the rules about marking a lie.

It would be equivalent to crossing the free throw line on a foul shotin basketball. Casual situations you aren't going to care but in Games (Tournaments) rules are rules.
It's like when a guy hits your car but instead of exchanging info, he speeds off and later you learn he was on meth.
lol, sorry that's not even close to analagous.
Guys, this is getting dangerously close to heading to the landfill.
Please be civil to one another. If you disagree, say so, and why. If you have other issues, take it to a PM or just move along. Name calling is really not necessary.
While the OPs wording may have been a bit antagonistic, I think the question was legit.
Following the rules in tournament play DOES matter, and calling him on it (verbal warning) was appropriate under failure to mark a lie.
the landfill?!?
