You should have cut the grass and topsoil out of that tee before installing those pavers. That's going to settle later on as the grass rots.

Man I want to come back to play this course again...

thank you for the heads up, i should still be able to get 60% of the grass out of there and reuse the sod elsewhere.

If you install pavers in the future, I highly recommend the Brock PaverBase system.

I did the side walkway to my backyard 5 years ago. Still no shifting or settling, and not a single blade of grass has ever grown through it. I've done pavers the old way, and the Brock panels are way better.

I started work on extended hole 2's fairway for the par 4 using a dogleg right on the fairway and up the ridge at least 40 feet in elevation grade and encompassing a 15 foot tall boulder. Its going to be 15 to 20 hours to clear this fairway to a respectable level. I placed a test basket, although it may move. the par 3 basket placement A for 2 is on the left of the image.

Good to know.

My dad on there old house patio used some of that Polymeric sand in place of the Grout with gravel below, something I would never recommend to people as the ants ruin that crap and you then have ants everywhere and little weeds coming up due in part to the ants. I bet Polymeric sand gets stopped as a product. Also Polymeric sand needs to have a special protectant on it in spring and fall to keep the sand in place so the harsh winters in the north do not ruin the sand stuff. If my dad did it over he would have used other stuff on the big patio. The smaller skinnier walkway the Polymeric sand worked fine for my dads first project at there old house and has not need much upkeep or needing the protectant on it, mostly due to being a smaller area of the sand, and due to being protected shaded area next to a shed that is attached to the garage so some of the Polymeric sand got moss on it. So for exposed or wide areas I would not use polymeric sand, and for the abuse a tee pad has again I would say no to using that stuff with the gravel below.

You'd have to be an exceptionally good player to birdie the second fairway photo

Hole 7. And more rain is coming today. Please note that this not a typical condition. It happens about 5 to 10 days a year that the mountain creek is active. I usually need 2 inches of rain.

Looks like a fun course & great use of the terrain would be an understatement.

I spent a lot of the fall and winter clearing out and cleaning up the woods behind the house so we could put in a circuit trail. We put off doing steps down the hill since 6x6s are $50 a pop right now, but at least the blackberry bushes, vines, & most of the other annoying stuff is all gone. Have been throwing at a plastic garbage can from a few spots, but at most could put in 3-4 holes tops.

Wish you were closer as I actually enjoy doing that kind of work and would be happy to help.

I've got some friends in Huntsville that if I get out to see them some time this summer will let you know if you want.
