Baskets have been removed by request of Precinct 1 Parks Department, course is closed.

Fairly open, flat course with several wooded holes. Benches at each tee. No alcohol, except by permit. Typically soggy conditions. Red tees are standard. Blue tees are the Alt/Short tees.

Course is intended to be played teeing from the RIGHT side of all tee posts (except #17 where you throw from the left side of the post).

Based on the tournament held 15-Mar-2008 the Red(long) tees have an SSA of 51.98 and the Blue(short) tees have an SSA of 44.26.

South Houston: Go to intersection of Hwy 288 and Beltway 8. Entrance 0.25 mile East on the South side of the Beltway feeder. Signs to park from either freeway. Parking for the Powell course is by the tennis courts.
