Pros:

Maps are decent. Course is open with exception of one by the drainage ditch. Some long and challenging baskets. We(4) of us played the first six and the reverse 6 per the map. We had the grands with us and they are old enough to do pretty well with distance but not placement.

Cons:

Crossing the drainage area. High grass in the bottom of the ditch. Some tree limbs completely block the view for the next tee shot.

Other Thoughts:

I see this as a beginner course. Not too challenging for the frequent players. Be sure and bring you own water as there was not a fountain.

Not Awesome 2+ years drive by

Pros:

7 Acre Park is in the small town off of Flatonia and a quick on-off of I10 about half way between Houston and San Antonio.

The baskets are DisCatchers and are solid and catch real well. All baskets have numbers and the "tees" have numbers as well, which for whatever reason, is not a norm at small town courses I have found. Navigation is real easy as most tee posts are within feet of the previous basket (more on that later).

The length of the holes is decent and there is a good variety of short and long. Hole 6 is the best hole on the course, as you need a big hyzer around some trees for a chance at a birdie.

Cons:

No matter what this course page says, this is a six hole course and not a 18 hole course. There is a mention of three tees per basket, but the other 12 tees were not marked at all. With no map, there might as well not even be mention of alternate tees.

This course will never see a bunch of use, but the tees were literally right next to the previous basket, which is a safety issue if more people were playing. The tee posts are weird metal posts that seem like they should have more description on them. Not a real con, but definitely unique in the not best way

Hole 3 has virtually no line to the basket due to low hanging tree limbs. It is hard to have a decent course when nearly 20 percent of the holes do not have a real line on the tee shot.

I mentioned hole 6 is my favorite hole utilizing a hyzer. Though the basket is very close to a neighboring house with a barbed wire fence. An errant shot or a windy day could land your disc in their backyard. Be wary of that.

Other Thoughts:

This isn't a good course. Uninspiring design on the holes you actually could throw from and holes that had no line.

Still, like I mentioned it is an easy play on and off of I10, if you need to "stretch your legs" between San Antonio or Houston. Though it is only a three hour drive, you probably don't need to stretch your legs. If I am being real, only play this course if you are in the course bagging business.
