Pros:
This course is in the city park in the middle of Alberton, MT. It is a nice but narrow mixed use park with a couple play areas and a baseball field. The park wraps around a small building that houses City Hall, Library, American Legion, and Senior center.
The course starts on the east end of the park and wends it way through and back. This is a fairly small park to fit 9 holes in so the designers had to get inventive. The course goes to pin 5 one way then comes back to the same baskets for the final 5 holes. Single pavers with the tee number are in place for the first 4 tees.
Cons:
My main complaint is that hole 4, 7, and 8 throw over or very close to sets of swings and other play equipment and 5/6 throw across the baseball field. The park was empty today but if there are very many people there the course would be unplayable.
Also, the pavers are missing for the last 5 holes so there is some guesswork about where to throw from.
! and 9 play fairly close to the road, I had my throw on 9 get away from me and ended up across the road, fortunately there was no traffic.
Other Thoughts:
While not a great course it made pretty good use of the space available and it has some challenging holes that you have to throw around trees or other obstacles.
Worth a quick stop if traveling through.
