Fun short course with a lot of elevation change 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 12, 2019 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

+ Nice mix of hole distances with some par 4s--you'll have opportunities to use your distance drivers
+ LOTS of elevation changes. You repeatedly play up and down some moderately steep inclines, including a fun downhill hole 5 where you can watch your midrange glide all the way from top to bottom.
+ Well manicured grassy area for holes 7-12, shaded by tall Douglas firs
+ Nice vista of the hills of West Linn from the top of the course
+

Cons:

- Shot selection is *generally* either a wide open uphill distance drive or wide open downhill putter hyzer
- Errant drives on 1 or 3 have a decent chance of going into the road

Other Thoughts:

Recently added a couple portable Axiom baskets to make a new hole 3 and hole 12. Course plays a little more fluidly with those additions. They're not the most interesting holes (a downhill putter hyzer on 3, and the finishing teepad from what was hole 10 now ends with a shorter midrange FH hyzer rather than the long BH)

Pros:

When arriving I was happily surprised to see beautiful new dynamic veteran baskets. The baskets were not only marked with hole number but have very clean looking white flags on the top to identify with hole number as well as to see from tee pads. Tee pads are in good condition with signs next to each one. The course itself has great elevation change, and mix of distances. Two par 4s to let it air out and some technical shots as well. Hole 5 is a great downhill shot with elevated basket in a stump. 7 is a tight uphill par 4 this course has dramatic elevation change with the room they had they made a great layout.

Cons:

Only 10 holes
No distances on the tee signs

Other Thoughts:

I wasn't expecting much coming here however the course was a pleasant surprise. Wouldn't mind having this place near me. Super clean and friendly enviromemt with a solid 10 holes
