(1.117 Rating) This young course is missing just about everything. But with a little bit of love and school backing money, this could be a real nice 9 hole course.
- RAW BEAUTY - I think the best aspect of this course is the graceful park setting (fitting for the town name; Graceville) There's a lake that boarders much of the layout, and it looks as pristine as could be. However, there are drawbacks, holes (2) and (8) plays along student housing.
- MAINTENANCE - The grounds were well mowed and manicured. Other than the area adjacent to the student housing, no trash was spotted despite no garbage cans along the layout.
- CHAINS - All the baskets still look brand spanking new.
- QUICK PLAY - Someone who knows this course layout should easily complete a full 9 in under 30 minutes. Groups of 4 probably would finish in under an hour. Probably perfect for between classes.
- GROW THE SPORT - No doubt this course has the potential to aid in growing the sport by offering easy access to learn the game at a campus course.

Needs the support of a group of students to get the funds this course desperately needs. Probably just a couple thousand bucks and 100 volunteer hours.
- TEES AREA - The biggest issue with younger courses is generally the tees. Currently it's just a few pavers.
- CHARACTER - The course is really just baskets and is void of all course character items. In addition to poor tees, there is little tee shading, no seating, no map, no community board, no tee signs and no practice basket. On a positive note, there's a really nice shelter with tables near (1) and (9).
- NAVIGATION - Hole directions are non-existence. Baskets are numbered but that's it. You'd have to know someone at the school who played here to figure it out.
- UNIQUENESS - The holes themselves in terms variety are below average. Most shots are open with a spattering of trees. I will add however, that the lake does come into play several times and it will definitely add interest to a round here.
- WIND - With a few holes completely open and also a few lightly wooded, wind is going to be a huge factor here. Definitely needs more tree plantings.
- PEDESTRIAN HAZARD - This course plays threw part of the campus. Holes (1), (2), (8) and (9) are especially close to resident and campus areas with (1) basket right next to a shelter. You could be forced to wait some times, or perhaps even have to skip a hole.
- DIFFICULTY - To be honest, I have no idea. I didn't find all the tees. It looks to be easier than normal with light tree coverage, no overgrowth and most baskets lightly guarded. Hole (9) appears to be in the 300 to 350 foot range.
- PRIVATE - There are signs posted that state that play is for students and guests only. You'd think a college would use a feature like this to help showcase the campus. I've played over a dozen school and church campus courses and this was only the 2nd time I'd seen such postings at one. Usually I'll see signs about being respectful to the area and other outlying rules, and if they're not followed, you'll be banned from campus. To me, the signs seemed over the top, but it's a private institution, they can do what they see fit.

I decided to check this course out because I enjoy exploring everything that's out there. Its a canvas waiting for its painter to finish. Despite its unfinished state, it's still usable for those attending the Baptist College of Florida. I don't recommend going here unless you're a student, employee or guest. The closest courses nearby that I can recommend instead, is The Bear at Compass Lake FL, and Eastgate Park in Dothan AL.

Given the restraints on the property, the course has a good mix of holes. A few holes play through the woods; most of the holes play near the water; a few holes are wide open. The course will challenge you to place your shots if you want to shoot low.

There is no signage and there are no tee pads. Without already knowing the layout of the course, there is absolutely no way to navigate this course. Most of the holes have water come into play, so be prepared to lose a few discs. The course is strongly RHBH friendly.

COURSE BACKGROUND INFO: The school invested in baskets in 2012 with the promise of investing in course improvements (teepads, signage, etc) in upcoming semesters. Well, the course improvements never happened. Therefore, there are 9 baskets spread out around the campus (centering around the lake) with no discernible way to navigate the course. I do not recommend traveling to play this course, unless you are a student or a friend of student.

For avid disc golfers looking for courses in the area, I would recommend The Bear at Compass Lake (Alford, FL) or the course on Fort Rucker's military base. Further out, I would recommend Tom Brown Park (Tallahassee, FL) or the Blue Angel Park (Pensacola, FL).
