New Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 9, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

-The course is in a nice area surrounded by big nice houses. The park is new so the grass and walking areas are nice and groomed.
-There were maps and scorecards on hole one for you to take and use.
-Good variety of up hill and down hill throws. There were also some good straight holes and then about even with right and left bending holes.
-The front nine are laid out pretty well and easy to follow one hole to the next. You can see the basket for almost all holes on the front nine.
-The front nine are pretty easy and open. Good for everyone to play. The back nine are the harder holes with lots of hills and blind throws.

Cons:

-The back nine. You need a spotter for a good part of the back nine. If not you will be digging through scrub oak and sage bushes trying to find your disc, and there are a lot of scrub oaks and sage bushes. I'm not one that likes to use spotters, it slows the game and is just a hassle.
-There are no bathrooms, fountains, benches, or garbage cans. So don't drink to much liquid, don't get tired of walking cause you can't sit down and what you bring in you'll pack out as well.
-Tee areas have mats for some. They are small and do not allow for a full run up. Keeping them natural would be better so you don't trip on the edge of the mat on approach.
-Baskets aren't the best quality. I worry they will break down fairly soon as the metal and chains are not made very heavy and sturdy.

Other Thoughts:

Overall it's not bad. If you are in the area it's a good course to throw, however I won't be going out of my way to return to it. It's a new course so there is always room for improvement which will come.
