Pros:
Ill start off by mentioning that riding a golf cart around disc golfing was a blast, even though it cost me a few bucks. The course is greatly maintained, and has beautiful views nonstop. Avery Jenkins did a great job of designing the course to have minimal interference between disc golfers and ball golfers. The course has lots of very long holes. Coming from a player who had never seen anything other than a par 3 before, I was super intimidated. By the end of my round, I was able to pick up a few birdies and manage to avoid any double bogeys. There's also a practice basket by the parking lot. The distance may seem intimidating, but the A positons are totally playable by your average player. B positions suit the pros well.
Cons:
Don't bring a newbie here. The distance is just too much for a beginner player to deal with. The fairways are much wider and open than other courses around as I mentioned, so there really isn't that great of a need for precise shot shaping which can be a bummer depending on your style. If you struggle with distance it could be hard to get into the flow here. There are greens fees, but as the day progresses, they charge less, which is convenient. There are some challenging pin placements which could lead to some scary roll aways, but that's all part of the fun I guess.
Other Thoughts:
Worth the visit if you're in the area and struggle on the shorter more technical courses. Worth it even if you're a forest golfing machine, just be ready to really huck it. Stretch out before! lol
