A recreational course trying to be more drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 5, 2023 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Some fun shots, birdie opportunities, easy to navigate, solid teepads.

Cons:

Safety is definitely a concern here. More than a few greens (long pins) just feel too close to another teepad or fairway. Errant shots could easily come flying into other holes. Which brings in my analysis that this course is a great intermediate property but overdoes trying to be a more advanced course. It's set up perfectly for 250-320' holes, welcoming to all players. Instead, it sits in the middle: too difficult for beginners but still not challenging enough for advanced players.

Other Thoughts:

If this course just leaned into its strengths and kept the baskets in the short pins year-round, I think this is a perfect welcoming course for your new players, seasoned intermediates, or advanced players looking to shred. Unfortunately, it falls short and gets this poor review.

Fun basic course in the woods 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 11, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Solid cement tees
Nice Innova baskets
Free course
Seating/trash areas at nearly every tee

Cons:

Confusing red/blue tees: distance is not consistent and often shows different baskets for each hole when there is only actually 1 basket.

Other Thoughts:

Alcohol/tobacco free park

Confusing Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 13, 2020 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Some par-able holes for beginners
Signs at tee pads (see below)
Fun obstacles like tires and barrels

Cons:

Some tee pads require players to cross in the path of others
Confusing signs (see below)

Other Thoughts:

When I first reviewed this course, I was less than a year into playing. After having played many other courses, I have to lower my rating. They are now charging $5 for "improvements, none of which I saw except for a few new tee pads. While there are signs at all tee pads, they're not positioned as to show you the exact lie of the hole. Hole number 13 looks like you have to shoot toward the left but actually it's a right angle to the right. There are very few "next tee" signs so sometimes it's difficult to find the next one.

It's a pass 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 31, 2018 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

*The course has great bridges and plenty of seating
*Somebody spent a lot of time creating obstacles on the course
*many holes are aceable with LUCK not SKILL
*nice putting area
*has a lost and found disc return
*has a weekly league on thursdays
*ok for someone trying to pass time

Cons:

*course design is terrible
*Not much of a "line" or "fairway" on any most holes
*look at hole 13
*many holes are aceable with LUCK not SKILL
*almost all holes are right hand forehand or lefty
*on many of the tee pads you are in danger of being hit by a disc from another tee pad/fairway
*tee pads are gravel with tons of holes already very dangerous
*already saw some non experienced players flip the lost and found box to get discs out of it.
*league is not worth the money you pay to attend it $30 what? That's fine on a better course.

Other Thoughts:

Will most likely not be playing here much unless there is a tournament we are forced to play for a LFDT event.

Shortround 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 7, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Fair lines, fair course that plays short but gives you a nice challenge and temps you into aggressive throws to score.
Mint Innova baskets.
Tee boxes on all holes.
Plenty of seating throughout the course.
Good directional signage.
Nice woodwork thorugh the course ( lost and found box, all the bridges, benches).
Trash bins.
Unique addition of obstacles that create challenges without feeling hokey.
Easy to get to from highways.

Cons:

Tee signs do not have layout on them.
Tee and directional signs are laminated paper tacted onto small wood post. ( Proboly temporary until permanent signs are put in)
Hole 13. - only hole IMO that has an unfair line from tee.
Still a young course, so lots of debri in the fairways.
Tee boxes are crushed stone so divots are a problem.

Other Thoughts:

Had a really enjoyable round here.
Perfect place for a putter or 3 disc round, but you could still find yourself missing the plastic left behind.
With some TLC and local support from players, this place can really shine.

Could use some tweaks 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 8, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

1. Easy to navigate
2. Solid baskets
3. Well-defined fairways
4. Creative with the obstacles

Cons:

1. Very short
2. Teepads are on angles up or down
3. Some teepads need to be re-positioned

Other Thoughts:

This is a baby little course south of Manchester. I'm almost inclined to call it a practice course because most holes are under 240'. Don't get me wrong, there are some fun throws in this course, from big hyzers to flex lines that can keep every skill level entertained.

My main issue is the teepads and their locations. Many of the holes have better options for a launch location. I understand the designers are working with limited space, but for example, one of the holes is literally a 90 degree dog leg that will only tolerate a soft shot into the middle of the fairway with an impossible angle to the pin. Give this course another 2 years of rearranging and maintenance and it will be a fun course for all.

New course close to Manchester 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 4, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Fun course! Opportunities for aces and birdies. Creative obstacles like giant truck tires & barrels. Free course close to Manchester. Variety of shots.

Cons:

A little swampy and smelling of sulphur on some holes. Shared with a mountain biking park, which seems a tad dangerous though we had no problems. Tee pads need to be leveled.

Other Thoughts:

Clearly new course they've been working on. Could use better signage. No doubt it will continue to improve!
