Whoever Designed The Camerado Springs Middle School Disc Golf Course Really Knows Middle School Students! 2+ years

Pros:

For who this course was designed for, I would give it a 5.0. It's perfect for a teaching course for middle school and even elementary students. It's short enough and open enough for them to achieve success here but it does force them to shape and control their throws. It gives them a couple opportunities for down hill bombs.

The equipment is excellent for them with brand new pretty green Prodegy baskets, with the numbers on them. The tee signs are very basic simple poles with just the hole number. And always important to any course on school grounds, the signs probably won't get vandalized. The tee pads are crushed rock.

The course sits on this wonderful, delightfully hilly piece of ground. The course starts off with an easy little 80' hole with two routes to the basket. # 2 is a little 160' shot with the basket hidden down in a gully. # 3 is a fun little 125' downhill. # 4 is another shortie at 68'. # 5 is another fun little downhill Ace Run At 170'. # 6 is another 125' hole with two routes to the basket. # 7 is another fun downhill. # 8 takes a hyser and then you finish with another juicy downhill, this one being 151'.

Cons:

Cons; No, I honestly can't think of any.

Other Thoughts:

These kids are so lucky to have this wonderful course at their school. I sincerely hope that someone on the faculty keeps the ball rolling and really motivates the students to keep playing. There were other folks using the course today, a local working on his short game and a couple of men playing for their first time. I can't think of too many courses more perfect for beginners than this course.

Honestly, I would love to give this course a 5.0. It is so well suited for it's target audience of middle school students and also, beginners. But DGCR would probably revoke my trusted reviewer status so I'll give in to the peer pressure and award it a 3.0. File this review under the "Awarded Under Protest" file.
