Disc Golf Ozark Style 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 31, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

Flat out Fun! It has some nice downhill shots, mostly hyzer shots, pretty scenery, it is like playing on your own private course, and the electric golf carts really spoil you. Imagine yourself scooting along in a golf cart right up to your disc, you grab a beverage from your cooler, take a sip, grab your towel to wipe your hands, reach into your bag and select your disc - all you have to do is throw. No walking, no climbing (except in and out of your cart), and the electric beast bears the burden.

Cons:

The baskets are homemade and the owners are working on correcting the tension on the chains - but they are not so tight that you can't putt, you just have to putt a little lower into the chains for the disc to stick. The grass is a little long but not so long as to lose your disc on every shot. It favors a right handed thrower with most throws being a simple hyzer. More variety in shots would be advised to improve the course.

Other Thoughts:

Honestly, these are homemade baskets by people that just saw pictures on the internet. They have never played the game and laid out the course as best they could without professional advice. Sure it could be better, sure you would mix up the shots a little better - but I got to tell you I had a smile on my face the entire time I was playing!!! It was a relaxing afternoon of disc golf - no pressure, no expectations, no sweat. It is the perfect deviation from the sport that we all can use from time-to-time - it was just fun. I would say you need to play this course once (Ozark style) and soon - the owners are planning for retirement, so who knows how long you will have before this little gem is gone.

Pros:

The scenery was nice and because of the location of the course if it were a windy day the trees would block the wind.

Cons:

A lot of tall grass if you make a mistake.

Other Thoughts:

This course is pretty small so it having narrow disc flight paths made this course more challenging.
