Small but fun course in NE Montana! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 20, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Tees clearly marked with a concrete slab that includes hole number, par, and length
- Pin numbers directly face the tee, making them easy to spot
- Lots of elevation change in many holes makes for good challenge in having to figure out how much to disc down/up
- A pro and con is the obstructions mainly affecting holes 4 and 5 (playground and pavilion). Leads to need for some shot shaping, but potentially dangerous
- Another pro/con is plain grass tees with no defined sides/front/back

Cons:

- Very short. 4 holes under 200 ft, only 2 over 300 ft
- Only 2-3 holes that I would legitimately pull out a fairway driver for. Mostly just putter and midrange course
- Potential danger on holes 4 and 5 with playground and pavilion in the way. Also an RV park on the left side of hole 4 may potentially be an issue for errant shots to the left
- Grass tees with no defined sides/front/back

Other Thoughts:

This is my home course, and it's really the only course with 9 holes in an about 130 mile radius of Glasgow. I can get out and play and have a great time. Beginners will enjoy this short and fun course. Those looking to develop their form will enjoy doing putter only rounds and getting the opportunity to have to shape some shots.
