Reviewed: Played on:May 28, 2016 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

+Lots of nice oak trees and shade
+Relatively secluded area, little to no interference from other activities
+Tight and technical

Cons:

-ridiculous concrete circles serving as baskets
-very short, holes average around 200 feet

Other Thoughts:

This course is believed to be the first permanent course in the state of Louisiana, and boy is it a trip back into time. The "baskets" on this course are circular concrete forms that rise about 2 feet out of the ground and are about 3 feet in diameter, painted white with big red hole numbers on the sides. Most have water in the bottom and it's not the freshest. Who wants to toss their putter into trashy water and scuff it up on the concrete while doing it? I really don't think that will appeal to most serious disc golfers.

The course has concrete tee pads, although they're very small, about 4 x 4 feet square, and many aren't flush with the ground, although the holes are so short that a long run up isn't often needed.

The scenery is pretty decent, and it's a good place to work on your short game. If they upgraded the baskets I would raise my rating at least a disc and maybe two.
