Pros:

We did our best to make a nice 9 hole course with what we were given. The Rotary Club gave a generous donation to make this happen. The land and location was already a done deal. There will be an elevated basket on Hole 1 as well as an information pavillion. Hole 2 plays around the curve of the flood plain. 3 will be Brent Baca-ish with distance markers installed along the length of the hole. 5 will have man-made mandos. 7 plays off the top of the only feature on the property. 9 will mando as well. Course is designed with Hole 1 starting right by the parking lot and Hole 9 finishing right back at the same parking lot. There will be 2 placements per hole. Every basket is a tried and true DISCatcher. All 9 tee pads are exactly the same. 6 feet wide by 12 feet long, concrete. There is plenty of other activities all around the course in case you have non-discers with you. Course was intentionally done away from park goers in the hopes of avoiding any conflict. The park also has plans to host huge events, therefore the need to separate. If you enjoy wind play then there is another Pro. If you don't I'd recommend playing early morning.

Cons:

The biggest Con of the entire course is that the grounds crew over-achieved. They leveled any and all foliage, grass, trees, etc. down to nothing. Please be gentle with any and all struggling plant life and hopefully things will grow back. The other main Con would be the land itself. The course location was already decided as an addition to the park. Not a lot of features to work with. If you don't enjoy wind play than that is a definite Con.

Other Thoughts:

Some thoughts to keep in mind during the early stages of this course: There will be improvements made as time goes on. Man-made obstacles and mandos will be added. Addition landscaping is a possibility. Signage is in the works, as well as additional basket placements.
Be aware of lightning, prairie dog holes, snakes, wind, and sun.
