A Fun Course with Water Hazards! 2+ years

Pros:
+ Built on the remains of a neighborhood 9 hole golf course, this is a wide open layout featuring a lot of back-and-forth holes using the old fairways
+ The holes are pretty long - most of them are in the high 300'+ - but the pars are generous (everything after the first two holes is Par 4)
+ The two water holes (#8 and #9) are great. They share a pond, but the layout creates two different challenges. The water guards a skinny green on #8. At 416', it's an obvious lay-up. But you want to get as close as you can, because your upshot has to land in a fairly narrow range. It's also possible to play entirely around the water hazard on this hole. The water looms large on #9: it's right in front of the tee, requiring a carry of about 200'. There's plenty of room out past the water though - the challenge is not allowing the water to get in your head on the tee

Cons:
- No signage. Using uDisc helps a lot to navigate around the first time
- I never found any of the yellow tee markers that I saw pictured here. This wasn't a big deal though - it's easy enough to use the former golf tees
- The extra wide ball golf fairways and the back-and-forth layout makes this pretty boring when compared to a "real" disc golf course. But it's a fun way to spend 40 minutes or so throwing discs
- Hole #1 is the only opportunity to consider throwing a RH forehand (and the hole sets up nicely, with a patch of rough on the left and a tree on the right). Everything else is pretty much straight
- I never found any of the yellow tee markers that I saw pictured here. This wasn't a big deal though - it's easy enough to use the former golf tees

Other Thoughts:
~ There's no real "trouble" on many of the holes other than trees bordering the fairways (and they'll just require you to alter your approach shot a little. Or you can just throw your way up the adjoining fairway)
~ The water on #8 and #9 really helps this course. Up until then, most holes just require "bomb it out there, and get up-and-down to make birdie."
~ Treat this as a fun way to get out and throw discs. A great place to introduce new players because there's so little trouble (just show them how to throw around the water on #8, and let them walk to the other side of the water on #9). The generous par 4's will give them a taste of "scratch" disc golf!
~ We're really lucky to have this course. There's no ball golf traffic anymore, and the place is maintained as a neighborhood park. A great place for practice, for field work, or to just get out for a fun round

Foot, disc, and ball golf, oh my... 2+ years drive by

Pros:
* Every hole a bomb!
* Very well maintained grass.
* Nice amenities.
*Fairly easy to navigate (some baskets hidden behind terrain or off on a tangent in the woods, requiring scouting).
*Some bend right, some bend left, some straight.
*Novelty of playing with ball golfers, and possibly foot golfers too! (there is a 9 hole soccer golf course set up using the same fairways as both the disc and ball golf)
* Very well maintained grass.

Other Thoughts:
The guy in the shack told me to just use the ball golf tees to tee off, which made for a pretty boring bomb-a-thon up the gut every time. If I had read up on this course before playing yesterday, I would have probably had a better experience, as I know that my friends at Discap know how to set up holes with fair flight path challenges and risk/reward opportunities. I will stop by this course later this week to look for my go-to driver in the pond on #8 (didn't see how far the pond extended to the left from the tee, dunked my "safe" drive) I expect that teeing off from the yellow disks will lead to a better experience.

Pros:
The views are lovely, the course is well manicured and its interesting playing on ball golf course. There is some water that comes into play
Cons:
Playing amidst people playing ball golf is disconcerting. The markers for the tees were hard to find as they were yellow metal discs flush in the ground. There are no teepads. Most of the shots are wide open with little to play around.
Other Thoughts:
This course has some cool potential. When I played the course the owner was talking about putting in an additional 9 in the woods which would make it much more fun. Its cool to throw shots and land in an actual "fairway" but most the shots are just wide open bombs. If they put in a 2nd 9 holes I'd be interested in playing it again.
