18 holes of wonderful variety carved into the woods and fields around a large church parking lot.
-Squeezes a par 62 into 6800' in a way that feels totally fair and fun.
-Great balance of holes. 4 tricky putter shots through the woods, then a couple more wide open holes followed by some longer park-style wooded fairways and a few big elevation bombers.
-The first four holes play around a winding creek where the lengths are quite short but you really need to hit your gap and land safely with rollaways a constant danger.
-Elevation a threat/opportunity throughout.
-I enjoy a course that has some challenging sub-200' shots and some 700+' shots.

Highlights:
Hole 4 322' par 4: Narrow wooded gap shot moving slightly uphill that needs to move left to right but can't fade too far or you'll be pinched for your approach to a basket that's just on the edge of the woods guarded by multiple skinny trees.

Hole 8 402' par 4: Straight tunnel shot that's pretty wide but better not skip left or right into the rough or you want have any space to throw out of the tunnel back uphill into the field for a circle's-edge chance at birdie.

Hole 15 706' par 5: Dual fairways running straight along the OB road, try to throw as straight as possible twice before the the fairway narrows and leaps dramatically uphill with plenty of rocks and trees. You an either take a hyzer out over OB right and hope you miss the guardians or try to flex something safely through the myriad of tricky trees to scrape a birdie.

Course is right next to Highway 67 and you're never not aware of it with the blazing traffic making a constant ruckus.

This is sort of a pro/con, the design squeezes every last bit of course out of what is a pretty cramped area, you play a long a development fence-line, tee-off from the top of a church parking lot, and use soccer field boundaries as OB. Hole 16 is a great hole to play but the green is 40' from the back of a gas station. Props to them for squeezing so much golf out of it, if you were to transfer this entire course design to a more bucolic environment it'd be an easy 4, 4+.

Hole 18 is disappointing. A ridiculously tight gap off the tee to just throw into a gravel lot, very challenging to move as severely left to right as one needs to get a birdie, especially with the low ceiling off the tee.

Course navigation can be a little tricky if you're new, be sure to consult UDisc, the basket you see in front of you may not be your target on a given hole.

Given its location it can get pretty trashy, we're not exactly known for our crystal-clear streams and leafy foliage in DFW, and off the highway it does tend to accumulate a fair amount of garbage.

It's on the property of a local church, I've had no problem getting in to use the facilities but they're not technically public.

Tee-signs indicates multiple pin-positions but what's in the ground is pretty standard. Concrete pads throughout except for a couple where you tee-off from the parking lot.

This is a terrifically fun set of holes to throw in an unfortunate location. Major kudos to the design team for their ingenuity and hard work, I always have a great time here.

Close to a playing field and parking lot on a few holes, not sure I would play here on a Sunday when it is full ... Edit: no disc here until at least after 2PM on Sundays, which makes total sense.

I learned about this course's existence VIA DGCoursereview several years ago. Lots of narrow fairways that require exact placement down tunnels in the woods. Several more open holes to allow for long drives. Not in my neighborhood but was worth the trip to go here for something different. I would play it more often if I lived closer.

-I liked the fact that on most of the big holes, there were nice shaped long lines, the par 4s were more than just long open shots.

-The creek on the opening 4 holes was a nice feature, if a bit frustrating to retrieve discs from.

-I liked the fact that the course really utilized 100% of the property, sometimes even going a bit too far in places.

Overall, I really liked this course, it's very professional and well-maintained (aside from a bit of a trash problem on the forested sections). I like that it plays with a distinct feel on the opening 6, middle 6 and final 6, each hole also has a unique feel, without any significant repetition in shot type. If this course had a bit more wow factor on the back nine and a bit of better navigational signage this could be an even higher rating.

Well maintained. Grooming has gotten better over the time I have played. Good signage. Bridges over creek. Variety of holes. Mostly easy to follow the flow. Multiple pin positions on several holes.

Some people have a tough time finding the tee box for 1. Some long pin positions unrealistic-Just long for long sake (and I am not talking about 14 or 15). Watch for snakes and some poison ivy if you are allergic but not a big issue even at that.

This is a very challenging course. I hated this course when I first started playing but played it quite a bit because it was close to me.
The care of the course has improved and so has my game which has improved my view of it quite a bit. The rough is still very rough, but there is less of it. An errant throw on most holes will be severely punished, but not as bad as it used to be. Great variety and most holes require a pretty good line. Some require almost a perfect line-1-4, 9, 15 with options, 16, 17. 18 beginning. 14 is an elevated 700 mostly open monster. The killer is 15. 700+ through trees with an elevated pin. It will kill you.
Good course that should be visited in the area. It will challenge you. I think the three courses at Cedar Hill and this course should get together and make one of the most awesome tournaments anyone has ever seen.

The course plays through mostly heavily wooded property with a few open field areas. A handful of longer holes out in the open provide a nice contrast to the technical tighter portions of the course. The rough throughout the woods is thick enough that you'll definitely pay for errant shots. Some elevation comes into play, with a couple fun downhill shots and some tricky greens.

You'll need a good variety of line shaping skills to score well here, with a nice balance of left and right turning holes. A few of the shots call for creative s-curves and other interesting lines. The distance variety is decent, with some ace run chances and some longer multi-shot holes.

The tees are a little on the small side, but the concrete is in good shape with fine grip. The baskets are new and in great condition. The signs are nice with distance and hole layout along with direction to the next tee.

A couple holes play over roads and parking lots, definitely a potential safety issue and one that could be avoided here. A volleyball court and baseball field also come into play, hopefully players are considerate enough not to throw over or through other activities. Several spots have multiple baskets in the same area, which is not only confusing for navigating the course, but could be a safety concern with multiple groups on the course.

The rough is thick enough in many areas that it requires just a pitch out rather than offering chances for creative recovery shots. A couple holes run parallel to open areas, making the easiest line somewhere other than the fairway.

I had fun here, and would definitely recommend a stop if you want an interesting challenge. Beginners might find it a little tight and punitive, and the longer holes could be a bit daunting. More experienced players will find some nice tests of different skills.

Offers a variety of hole types. Some woodsy holes with water and a few wide open long ones... all combining to test your total skill level.

Starts off with a few "over the river and through the woods" holes which if not played smartly, can get you off to a not-so-great round. This course is as demanding as they come and will wear you out, physically and mentally if you're not prepared. Definitely not for beginners.

It's closed on Sunday mornings and evenings, as well as Wednesday evening for church services.

The Amenities - quality concrete tees and color signs on every hole, many showing directions to next tee. Ample parking in the church parking lot (just make sure you don't park on the "in" side of the mando on Hole 5). Stairs and bridges where needed. Many trash cans throughout the course with places to sit on several holes.

The Design - a good mix between tight/technical and open/long with some longer technical shots that really challenge the player. The hilly terrain on the property is used well, giving players a chance to throw up- and down-hill. Several holes that could be "signature" quality including a long downhill empty-the-bag shot (Hole 14) followed by a brutal wooded par 5 that can do serious damage to the scorecard (the "Tunnel Of Death"). Most holes seem well though-out and reward accurate throws while punishing errant ones. Lots of birdies throughout the course, but also plenty of opportunities to take bogey or worse. A good competition course that makes it difficult for any single player to simply run away with a win.

Hole Highlights: Holes 1-4 fall into the short and technical category with thick woods and a winding shallow creek in play. These holes can provide up to 4 birdies to an accurate thrower (with Hole 4 being a very difficult but reachable birdie), but can add 4 strokes to the score just as easily. Holes 6-11 are all moderately wooded with elevation in play on the first 3 and 2 reasonable birdie opportunities (Holes 7 and 9). Holes 8, 10 and 11 are all tunnel shots to some degree, with 11 being a personal favorite. 12 through 14 play up and downhill behind the church building and provide a bit of relief from the woods before finishing on several tightly wooded holes. Hole 15 is THE signature hole in my opinion - with a fairway that is lined with trees on both sides (and several in the middle), an OB road to the right, and over 800ft of distance, this monster rewards an accurate thrower who has good control over the discs landing. Being greedy and going for big distance, especially on the tee, can spell disaster if done improperly...double-digit scores are possible. Hole 16 is another tightly wooded hole, but unlike the last, it has a hard dogleg setting up to a tree-dotted green with 2 mandos.

Many of my original criticisms of this course's design have been addressed recently, and this course is shaping up very nicely. However, there is still one major thing I see that's worth mentioning: the layout is very cramped in a few spots and could be dangerous during tournament play. This is especially true on holes 2-4, 6-8, and to a lesser degree on 12-14 (the latter are more open, making it easier to see an oncoming throw). Other than this, I only see small, nitpicky things that will most likely be addressed down the road by the designer or naturally from getting more play and foot traffic (this is a new course, after all). These include clearing brush/limbs within 10ft of the baskets (*cough* hole 2 *cough*), cutting a safer trail along the creek on Hole 3, and better marking the artificial OB lines on a few holes. I also feel that Hole 5 is a bit of a filler hole / afterthought and that some of the concrete tees could be longer, but those are highly subjective.

Also - a minor Con in my eyes - this course can be very punishing to someone just starting out. The woods along the course are still very thick in some parts, making it easy to lose a disc, and the technical aspects of this course might prove very frustrating to a new player. The creek can also be difficult to tread, but easy to find However, if a challenge is desired, this is the kind of course where it can be found.

No bathrooms, but there is a gas station across the highway with a public restroom. Pretty sure the convenience store on 17 does NOT have a public restroom.

This course has grown on me very quickly over the last few months. At first, I felt it was too tight on many of the wooded holes, making reasonable approaches to the pin impossible. I also had a difficult time navigating the course at first. Now that signs/stairs/bridges have been installed and more clearing has been done, those initial concerns are no longer valid.
