Nice course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 12, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Clean course. They added trash bins.
The signage is top notch. I have not seen anything as good as this
Short but guarded baskets. You do not find a lot of courses that are short but still challenging
15 minutes from another big course in the area and Putnam for decent food.
Very well thought out and designed

Cons:

It's new. Still needs work but you can see that they are doing it.
Tee box for 13 is close to the alley for tee box 15. There are bushes in front of the area but you can see an errant throw can cause a problem.
Right. Ow there are a lot of dead wood/brush piles along the side of the fairways. A good burn day is needed

Other Thoughts:

This course went in in about 2 months after planning. It was cleared and in and is very playable. They had Thur first tournament the weekend of this review. It's a fair course that you can easily get birdies but also if you get into the woods you can easily get a bogey or double bogie. The fairways are tight but very well defined. Each shot needs to be planned and if you hit it you can be rewarded very well.
My favorite hole is hole 9. It looks so easy but it's a short downhill with some small trees you need to navigate. It's very easy to under or overshoot it. And the stone wall was recently rebuilt and adds a very nice feature to the hole

Short and challenging 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 6, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This course for being in its infancy is really fun to play. Front 9 is shorter than the back but has nice tight alley's that must be hit. Tee signs and next tee signs are very nicely done. All in all for a brand new course it plays nicely and is a fun round. Will be playing here many times and is easily worth the 25 min drive.

Cons:

One concern with a few signs is the sign can be hit on follow through and greatly limits where one can safely tee off from and limits the lines that can be used. Hole 18 could use a little opening up. And there are back to back holes on the back 9 where the greens are a little close to each other and could present a concern when teeing off and someone is putting on the previous hole.

Other Thoughts:

Love this property and so happy to see a course being developed. Good luck to the park!
