Pros:
+Cement Tees
+Accurate, helpful, well done tee signs that tell you all that you need to know
+Nice baskets
+Nicely maintained county park
+Cement tees
+Challenging course with a solid variety of shots. There were some low tunnels, thick woods, more open shots, ace runs.
+Scenic area with nice lake nearby.
Cons:
-Some shots were right next to park road, it was kind of annoying, potentially dangerous, could damage discs.
-The course started at one end of the park and didn't loop at all. It just kept going. It ended up in the woods and you had to walk a fairly long ways back to hole 1. There is room for more here or they could have at least attempted to loop.
-Some of the shots were not really made with a disc's flight in mind. Hole 9 especially. Hole 6 was also funky with no real line to the basket.
-Some holes were crazy hard and some were crazy easy. Nothing in the middle. This course doesn't really fit a certain skill level of player. For a skilled player, there are 3-4 worthy holes and 5-6 fillers. For a rec player, 3-4 of the holes are going to result in looking for discs in the woods and the others are going to suit their needs better.
-You could definitely lose a disc here. The undergrowth is thick and it isn't even June yet.
-Buggy, will get worse as the summer goes.
Other Thoughts:
+I did have fun here. With the exception of looking for my disc a few times.
+I stepped up to the challenge and shot very well on holes 4,6, and 9 with 3s. I was happy with that. I would guess that if I played more often, I would probably see 4s and 5s often.
+The directions to find the course is weird on this site. I will look at them and see if I can't make them easier to navigate.
+This course is worth a stop once. It is in the middle of nowhere so it will take some time to find then to play then to walk all the way back to the start.
