Great 18 hole course! drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 17, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course has a great variety of shot shapes, lengths and s mix of wooded and open holes. Course is well maintained and beautiful. Course is challenging, you have to hit lines and distances. A good number of short and long tees, great baskets!

Cons:

A few of the back 9 holes are a bit confusing in terms of flow and order-wise.

Other Thoughts:

This course has been very well done and was a lot of fun to play. Beautiful, fun, variety and challenging

Excellent Job! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 1, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Concrete Tees (see cons)
-Dual tees on 1/2 the holes
-Good mix of open/wooded, long/short
-Excellent Mach X Baskets
-Many different shot shapes (See #4, #8, #12)
-A few fun extras (See #7, #17)
-Good Map
-Practice Basket near Restrooms

Cons:

-No concrete for Red Tees #16 and #17
-Transitions in the middle of course a little clunky (#11 to #14)
-Not much elevation to work with (although used nicely on #2 and #6)
-Could use a few benches and trashcans

Other Thoughts:

Daubendiek Park hosts an excellent DGC on the SW corner of Jefferson, IA. A nice mix of open/technical shots works through this large park. Half the holes have a second (red) tee to help whittle down the length of this track. At almost 6200' from the blue tees, it's a long course. However, there is enough variety to keep you interested. While water is slightly in play on several holes, only long throws on #3 and #16 really put you in any danger of disc loss. A couple of fun extras (See pics for #7 and #17) add to the interest. Some of the more tight holes will test your lines (#4, #8, #9 and the double mando on #12) and you can boom out of #16 and #17. Fix the red tees on #16 and #17, add a bench or two and a few trash cans to bump up to a 4 for me. An enjoyable course, I had a fun round and will play here again.
