Up the hilly woods 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 10, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-Very nice wooded course for beginners or advanced players who would like to
work on their putt/approach.
-Although the layout is quite short (for advanced players), playing here is really fun.
Tight fairways call for accuracy, the placement of the baskets is very cool and elevation changes need to be heeded.
-There is a good variation of shots, yet leftys or RH-forehand players might benefit a bit.
-The flow is very nice (until #11).
- The baskets are fairly new and teesigns give information about distance and change in elevation.
-Turf-tees are well built. I found the placement of the teesign-posts behind the tee very clever.
-A kiosk/small restaurant with restrooms is on site.
-The course is free to play.

Cons:

-In my eyes, the most crucial problem with this course is the layout.
To get to hole #12, you need to cross/walk along the fairway of #7 and #6.
!Hole #6 is a blind shot where a spotter is needed!
-My rating would be up to 3*, but the layout of #6 is dangerous and not thought-out.
-There is almost no need for a distance-driver.
-Discs can bury under the fallen leaves.

Other Thoughts:

-This is a fun short course, worth to play when you are in that area. Beginners and advances players might enjoy this course alike.
-I think that there would be a way to improve the layout, as there is plenty of space left.
-You can park for free right next to the course.
-There is a small lodge for rent on site.
