Another gem on this same property

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 22, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Simple navigation and aids when needed
- Concrete tee pads and great baskets, tee signs
- 3 courses on a single property that area all fun
- Amenities includes a pro shop and bathrooms
- Good amount of elevation and elevated tee pads
- All sorts of obstacles be it trees, ponds, creeks, cows, etc.
- Good distance variety and left/right right/left hole shapes
- Lots of par 4 holes and big distance required
- Good amount of punishment off the fairways
- Accuracy and many different shots needed
- Disc golf only property
- Can reserve the course during the week for solitude
- Aesthetically pleasing on the eyes and ears

Cons:

- There is a spring making standing water and mud all over the place
- Some small overlap with the big course but manageable
- Lots of disc eating potential

Other Thoughts:

This and the big course are what I consider the best of the best and to have both on the same property as the fun, pitch n putt putter course is quite special. This is a hidden gem of a property at the moment but really shouldn't be, it's an amazing piece of property and well designed courses. This is some of the best disc golf Texas has to offer and that's saying quite a bit as this is my favorite state for disc golf so far. Vacation here, road trip here, just get out here and play at Dino Hills!

Must Play Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 2, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Scenic course in perfect condition. Lots of love went into setting this course up and it's obvious. Excellent baskets, absolutely perfect tee pads, and lots of different shots. We had an absolute blast and the course lays out well for first-timers. Would say this is a must-play if you're anywhere close.

Cons:

Very few if any- watch your step as the cows leave some "remnants" on the ground.

Other Thoughts:

Lots of elevation changes as well as different type holes. You will use most shots in the bag.
