Disc Golf in Andalucía 2+ years

Pros:

-DGP Mijas is the only course in the south of spain (so far), with great views up the mountains and down the coast. The location itself is very scenic.

-The terrain offers huge change in elevation combined with a lot of distance to cover.
Seven of the 18 holes are Par 4's.

-With the change in elevation, distance and tight tree passages, this course is definitely pointed/reccomendable towards advances, experienced players.

-The layout is challenging and was fun to play. Navigating was easy with the printed course-map.
I really enjoyed the second half of the course with more trees and scenic tricky placements.

-There is also a shorter, beginner friendly layout marked by blue stones.

-Teesigns and basket were in good condition.

-The clubhouse offers baverages, food, discs and merch.

Cons:

-For me, the biggest con were the steep fairways you had to walk up/down to your next lie.
I felt a bit uncomfortable and more than normaly exhausted when hiking the cliffy area with loose gravel.

-The loose tees were a con as well as you need a run up to reach the more distant holes.

-You dont want to leave the fairway. Thick thorny bushes and piles rocks will eat you discs. You might also need a spotter at several holes, as the discs tend to roll.

-The flow was ok, but felt a bit awkward at times.

- There was some of trash lying around here and there.

-Wind can become an issue here as you are playing close to the coast.

-The discs tend to wear by the rocky underground.

-10€ to play all day wasn't cheap, but acceptable.

Other Thoughts:

When you are in the south of spain and into Disc Golf, this is your place to go.
The location with its great views, in combination with an ambitious course layout and beautiful basket-placements make this a must play when you are around Malaga.

Make sure to bring good footgear and another person for spotting.

The daily fee is 10€. They also have a weekly/monthly fee.
