Still getting there? 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 2, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

I liked this course for what it offers... a lot of wide open tee shots with a few birdie holes mixed in and a good use of creeks and ponds. As a beginner/intermediate player I threw RHBH on every tee shot and was in good shape to make par on every hole.

Unrelated to the disc golf itself, the course is naturally very beautiful and a nice place to spend an hour and a half walking around.

Cons:

The groundskeeping is BAD and really negatively affects the experience. Apparently no one has given the grounds crew the memo that this isn't a golf course any more. There are some well maintained putting greens from the old golf course and then 50 feet away is the current DG basket that is waist high in weeds.

If your disc goes in the water it's probably staying there.

Other Thoughts:

If the city can figure out the mowing and weedeating situation, this will be a nice course.

I played with a course map pulled up on my phone and would definitely recommend that.

Odd design/rarely mowed 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 5, 2020 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

A poor disc golf course is better than no disc golf course at all.

Cons:

Very odd course design. Many holes with long walks to the next hole, often leading you across the fairway of other holes. Not intuitive, not well signed.

Grass was knee high in most places, and the course does not drain well at all. Pretty wet.

Other Thoughts:

I appreciate that the city turned a ball golf course in to two disc golf courses. Great intentions.
