Elk Lake Park DGC is a 10 hole course that plays counter clockwise just north of the Parking lot. The course starts and ends near the parking lot. The first couple holes play near the lake adding a potential water hazard. It would take an off target shot or a major wind redirection to reach it though. A walking path meanders through the course and is in play on a number of holes. It's not marked as OB on the tee signs but could be played that way for added challenge. The train tracks run along the west side of the course and should probably be considered OB as well. These too would take a pretty horrendous throw to reach but it is possible.

The baskets are orange powder coated making spotting them easy. Not sure about the make and model, but they are similar to Chainstar Pros. These are in great shape and catch nicely. Nine baskets were here when we played Holes 2 and 9 I believe shared a basket. Not a big deal as I doubt this is ever really too busy of a course.

The tee signs are very well done. They all have a basic hole layout diagram showing the trees, walking path and any baskets in the area. They also include hole #, par, distance and the hole sponsors. The tees are natural but serve their purpose just fine on this short track. A couple had bare dirt a couple feet square but most were still just grass. There are 2 par fours I believe, but for intermediate and up players, they're all essentially par 3's.

The course was very clean and well maintained in early May. It is also free and apparently permanent, which is always a bonus. Playground area and restroom near the parking lot and hole 1.

Not the longest or most challenging course but good for what it is, which is a standard park pitch and putt.

Hole 10's pole below the basket is bent practically to a 45 degree angle. Presumably from some vandals. It makes for a tricky putt no matter the angle.

Not a con as of now (spring 2020) but it appears what I'm assuming will be a pavillion is going up in the fairway for 9 or 10. I can't remember which but I think 10. The hole could be rerouted to the west and still end near the parking lot, maybe even bend hole 10's pole back while they're at it. Or it could be eliminated entirely making a standard 9 hole set up. Time will tell on this.

This course is nothing to go out of your way for by any means but is a good addition to the area. Well, really the only course within at least a half hour, if not longer. It's a good spot to get out and stretch the legs if you're traveling up to Highbridge on 13 from Hwy 29. It's about midway between the two. Good use of the available space to get 10 holes in and great job incorporating the few trees into the design. At least it's not totally wide open. It's your decent/typical course. 2.5 it is.

It is a course with baskets in an area lacking better options; good for beginners and kids.

Clean and well kept park along the flowage. Grass was mowed and the baskets were in good shape.

The tee signs were well made and helpful and navigation was very easy since the course is so open. The designer did a fine job with the few obstacles available.

Should be hard to loose discs unless you really huck one off line and somehow find the lake or its surrounding foliage.

Short and repetitive.

Aside from two holes they were almost all the same. 220-250 slight fade at the end or slight turn in the middle. Good for practicing shots because you could often choose to go hyzer or anny route on all the holes.

There are no tee pads and really no tees at all just a sign in the grass with no labeling if you were to go left or right of the sign. A couple bricks or some flags something would be helpful.

A paved walking trail winds through the course which could be a safety issue if people are not careful, especially on the long blind hole in the back of the course. Take a minute to scout and have respect for the peds and this should be a non issue.

I'll play it when I'm driving through as a last resort to get my dg fix for the day.

Great beginner course, has 9 holes and 1 practice hole. The par 4's could be done in 3 or 2 if you have a very good shot, other holes if you have a decent shot are birdieable. Overall very fun course to play

Not much really, could have more challenge to it and thats about it.
