- Nice quick 9-hole play through.
- Mostly non-technical wide-open field.
- Good place to practice drives and mid-range shots.
- Some interesting obstacles. Challenging tree placements on the last few holes.
- Almost impossible to lose a disc out here. (when mowed) - Good beginner-friendly course.

- Maps don't point in direction of throw
- The course will be very short for those who drive 300+.
- Non "technical" course. Wide open field means very little shot shaping or exotic putting required.

- Course plays close to walking trail and some houses and roads. Big arms may need to dial it back to keep discs in the field of play.

This is a nice easy 9 holes to play through in a clean, well-maintained public park. It'll never be a stop on the pro-tour, but that isn't the purpose or intention of parks like this.

If you want to throw a quick hour of disc golf after work, this is the place. If you want to teach beginners how to play, this is the place.

If you want a wide open field to "grip it and rip it" this is sort of the place. (quite a few holes are under 300". I guess it depends how far you drive.)

If you want a technical challenge with elevation changes, 700-foot par-4's, water hazards, left and right doglegs, mandos, and tight gaps, this isn't the place.

Appreciate this course for what it is. If you want more, there are bigger challenges just a few miles away.

+ Evans Park is a pretty massive sports complex right on the outskirts of Hebron. The disc golf course is located at the back lot.

+ Great place to take a beginner to learn the sport. There's a few obstacles, but mainly open and risk free.

+ There's a few tough pin positions and some well placed trees to make things interesting. Right now a moderately high anhyzer shot will easily get around the immature trees, but I feel like that's cheating a little.

+ It's a fairly new course (2015) so the baskets and signs are in good shape.

+ Makes an easy to follow 9 hole loop around the back part of the park. There's defined fairways and paths so it makes navigation very simple.

+ Restroom and plenty of parking next to the first tee.

- Evans Park is another one of those "let's put a course here since and empty space" places. It utilizes all the trees and elevation within the mainly wide open space, but lacks fun factor that makes me want to return.

- There's no tee pads, took a tough slip and a minor knee injury on #7 trying to overthrow it around the trees.

- I'm not a fan of these types of tee signs. They rust quickly and are already tough to read in the first place.

I wouldn't say Evans Park is bad or anything, but it's not too good either. Not much thinking required, just rip the disc as far as possible. It's a solid use of the space, but the course is limited to what it is due to the lack of elevation and tree cover.

The tee signs and baskets are both nice. The course is open and easy to navigate. The last hole uses a little mound to perch the basket near a thick rough. I threw several discs at this challenging target; trying both my go to RHFH, as well as RHBH.This is a nice end to a fun round.

The course designsrs used this property well. Good job! There are some trees and bushes in this field that become well placed guardians to several of the baskets.

The course plays in an open field that starts at the northwest corner of the back gravel parking lot, just like the info page says. You play counterclockwise around the field and end up fairly close to where you started.

When I was there the grass was freshly mown but judging from other reviews it seems like this course is well maintained. The fairways are well defined from the rough on each hole. If there is ever competition at this course then the rough could be a penalty since the line of demarcation is so clear.

There are no tee pads here, but i didn't find this to be a problem. Yet it was dry when i was there. Brushed concrete pads would be nice if it was wet.

I learned a new feature of dgcr to find this place. If you're searching for a course along a route you can click on the map view and all the courses in that area will come up. Nice! I'm surprised I hadn't figured this out already.

Evans Park is very close to highway 70 east of Columbus. If you're ever on a cross country road trip and in this area then this is a great stop.

-Easy to find and plenty of parking plus a porta potty.
-Fairways are mowed down so you can follow course well. The tee signs also have arrows pointing you in the right direction.
-Backhand and forehand lines are available on every hole.
-Very little opportunities to lose a disc.
-A quick play if you love to travel and play.
-Course is in a community park, but it's not close enough to anything else that it limits your throws or slows you down.
-Great place for beginners, or great place to try out new discs. A bad throw won't hurt you too badly.

-Little variety of shots. Really holes 7 and 9 are the only change ups.
-You can't see hole 2's basket from the tee spot. It's straight ahead, but there's a hill in the way that prevents you from seeing the basket. This is good for course variety, but is confusing your first time playing.
-No tee pads, but tee signs let you know where to throw from.
-Hole 4 throws toward a gravel road. Doesn't look like many cars drive it that often, but still something to think about.

For being in what seems to be a small town, this is a nice course. It's well kept and it looks like they're trying to vary up the shots with some trees growing in.

Definitely worth a quick stop off the interstate.

More experienced players will probably find this too easy.

At the back of the Evans Sports Park fields, just beyond the gravel piles and parking area, you'll find a reasonable nine hole disc golf course marked by basic tee signs and DGA baskets. The signs have hole layout, distances, and even next tee arrows, though the grasses are cut in such a way as to clearly define fairways and paths between holes. In the winter, the rough is cut to shoe top height, but obviously consists of prairie grasses that could really swallow up errant shots in the middle of the summer (so watch your discs).

The course has good Intermediate distances (210 to 474 feet) and the trees that were planted on installation are beginning to grow in so that you can see how they will soon force some line shaping. Right now (especially in the winter), the openness of the course means you can learn a little about how wind affects disc flight. Two of the holes actually give you a chance to practice control: hole 6 can be played as a mando between two pines about a third of the way along the fairway, and then curving around the deciduous tree in the center, 2/3rds of the way there. Hole 8 tees off between the telephone poles and wires.

In all, Evans Park DGC is a decent, quick nine that can be satisfying for casual to intermediate level players.

The lack of elevation (only the ninth hole places its basket on an artificial rise, making for a challenging green if it is windy) and trees (just growing in), tend to keep the course a little bland. It will not challenge advanced or open players, even when the trees grow in. The crushed asphalt path bordering holes 1 through 4 can be used as an OB line, but otherwise makes no change in the challenge here. Natural tee areas somewhere in the vicinity of the tee signs are OK, but would be better marked in some way to be more specific. There are no benches or trash cans, so carry in, carry out.

My overall impression of Evans course was that it's OK, and I wouldn't complain at all if it were the only course near me, but only real course baggers like me are going to stop in from out of town. If you -are- like me, I drew up a map for ya!

Reviewer Background as of this writing: age 54 w/ 4 yrs experience, rated 900+/-, played 245+ courses in 23 states, 80% w/in 3hr drive of Cincinnati. Thrown with folks rated 600's to 1000's, ages 9 to 85 in events and leagues at all tiers. Seldom drive beyond 300-330, but have a solid up-shot and putting game. I haven't designed any courses, but try to lend a hand (with my severely desk-job limited skill set) when I can.

Very easy course to play on the right days. Its not hard to play good on this course when the conditions are right. Good layout with smaller newly planted trees growing and coming into play over the last year. Great warm up course or quick nine practice course for all skill levels. Porto-jon on site and mostly flat for fast play.

Can be quite windy giving the location. It is easy to lose track of a stray throw in taller grass during the summer months. The parking lot can be packed due to soccer and football games going on.

Would be better when the trees grow in and if there were more but all that being said, not too bad!

- A good utilisation of the space
- The rough has been cut and if they don't allow it to grow back (it was over 4 feet), it should be perfect to throw.
- Actually a pretty decent layout/variety of holes considering the space available.
- Porta Potty nearby.
- Lots of parking around.
- Not yet crowded. Any time you go, you are likely to be the only person on the course. I have only been on the course with one other group at a time.
- In a nice park.
- You can basically practice putting on hole 9 and then turn around and practice chucking discs.
- You can get some good practice in here.

- Not very much variety in landscape - it is pretty much a square parcel of land that has been turned into a 9 hole disc golf course. There are trees planted but they are small and hopefully they have a chance to grow!
- Can be quite windy, and there is usually always some type of wind.
- No water or vending
- No trashcans
- No benches
- Natural Tees
- There is litter around but I suspect some of this is from the road.
- There are no signs around anywhere to indicate that there is a 9 hole disc golf course in the area.
- If the rough is not cut and is as tall as it was at the beginning of summer (4 feet all around the course if not on the trim fairway), then you will lose a disc.
- You stand the chance of throwing your disc into the adjacent corn field on a couple holes.
- The people whose house is on the course keep 2 dogs outside all the time and they bark and are somewhat annoying when trying to throw.
- Again, no water.

This little warm-up is not much to write home about, but it does provide some unique opportunities The park has some good space to practice tossing discs and, due to my current proximity, has become a bit of a training grounds for me. There are not a great variety of looks throughout the course, but it does offer a few different opportunities and a couple actual challenges. I am glad I can throw all the discs in my bag here, including max distance drivers, all the way to overstable & understable mid ranges and putters.

Perhaps in the future there might be some sort of plot to expand the course, much like was done in Pickerington. The space in the park might be able to be utilised for such a thing, but perhaps at the expense of others.

A quick comment on local awareness of the course, I have been going to this park for over a year and until recently, I had no idea there was a disc golf course here. I even pulled up to the parking lot and have chucked discs in the fields there and I had no idea it was there. I am partially oblivious, but also, there is absolutely no indication that such a thing exists. I only found out about it by scouring all the information I could on local disc golf courses. It makes it a bit obscure but at least it is there! A fun place to get in a lot of good throws and putts.

- A good, quick 9 hole that's attached to a multi-function park
- Good for working on the short game with a few long drives as well
- Lots of space to practice throws before and after a round
- Offers various shot opportunities and will be even better since the trees are growing up!
- Porta potties on site

- Absolutely no sign to indicate that there is a disc course at this park. It would be nice to get people interested, since this is in the very back corner of the park.
- They let the rough get severely overgrown before cutting it, which is a problem especially on hole 2 which is over 400' with a fairway that's about 15' wide. Also grip-locking it on this hole will result in a trip to the corn field.
- No trash cans so people litter
- The park has recently undergone a lot of maintenance which resulted in a gigantic pile of rubble in parking lot. Also they are installing a walking path all the way around the course and it runs directly behind the basket on hole 1, which can be potentially dangerous

It is nice to be able to throw discs in the field at the park and then play 9 holes of disc golf. It's a good practice environment. This course offers decent challenges for experience players and is friendly enough for beginners. The last pin is right near the entrance so you have a nice little practice pin to warm up before you play. Evans Park is a decent place to play if you are out in the country and need a DG fix. The only real problem is the overgrowth, which tends to be a motif here. We once saw a guy with a machete looking for his disc. No kidding.

Pretty good use of the land available. Holes 8 and 9 are especially fun. There aren't many trees, but they're placed strategically close to and in front of the pads. Long grass has been cut. I could see how it would be a pain looking for discs if those weeds were up. Added challenge when playing along the corn field...if you go into the thick stuff near it, I think you've lost your disc. So you have to think a little bit before you throw.

It's basically a flat and open field. There is a little bit of elevation here and there, but there's just not much to work with. I also found the course to be shockingly windy considering the weather was perfect.

This is a nice course in a nice park. The designer did all that he could with what he had to use (I don't know what I'd do differently if given that plot of land). It is beginner-friendly, but you could make it more difficult by using mandos (even though there are trees off the pad, there is nothing at all left or right, so you can throw anything but straight and still park every hole. Making mandos would at least eliminate SOME tosses). Also, you could play the recently-cut thick grass as OB (there are defined fairways of short grass so this would be possible).
All in all this is anything but a desitnation course, but if you're in the area it's worth stopping by.

Fun little course to play thru, scenery is pretty dull but the layout of the course is pretty good in my opinion. It seems like they are doing some landscape work which will definitely improve this course. I would not recommend a long trip just to come to this particular course but if your in the area I would try it out.

If you live in the area it's great that Hebron has a new little course. It basically plays down a slightly rolling field 150 to 250 foot holes and then works it's way back.

The land is very plain and they did about as much as you could do with it. If I had a complaint it would be the thin fairways coupled with the thick rough.

Sorry but I was kinda bored here. This course is a lot like glacier woods in plain city if you took out the wooded holes (No ticks as far as I know in Hebron though) If your new to Disc golf this course would be a good place to develop you skills. But if you have any experience at all you may wanna sit this one out

Newer DGC, so ya have NEW baskets. Well defined fairways, little interferance, so this DGc is more of a recreational course than a championship type of DGC.

9 holes are better than ZERO holes.

If you get off the fairways you will be searching for awhile as there's not very many landmarks nor obsticles to mark your shot to (weather it's a good throw off the fairway and in the rough or an errant throw into the rough).

looks like a newer park, so hopefully they'll plant some more trees for future obsticles on the DGC. Watch your speed in the park as theres alot of children either playing or participating in the park with other activities (softball, soccer, playground). Porta johns available in various areas, plenty of parking.

I didn't see any water holes.
