I have the approval and a few good layouts. But I have to raise the money and really don't have to do the fund raising on my own. I am still trying but to get contacts with some oil/gas companies to see if they would be willing to find it.
Played Thompson Park yesterday, along with Tomlinson Run and Beatty Park. Solid trip. Thanx as always for your suggestions. Thompson has some gorgeous holes. I agree, the middle nine is where it's at. Good stuff. Nice hike
Played Goshen finally. Bad ass course. The foliage was thick and plush. The lines were balanced. It's a bit on the short side but still calls for drivers. Fine line on many holes what to throw. Solid course. Thanks for the heads up!
Awesome. Deer Lakes is a solid 5.0 for me. It just has so much variety and is very well balanced. Glad you made it out. Ya know, we still need to get that first round in...
Just wanted to let you know about Battle for the Border: Michigan V. Ohio, dates and location have been set. Check out the thread and hope you can make it.
It was amazing. We had about 25 people throughout the weekend and everyone had a great time. We definitely plan on doing it again, switching up the location each time. I'll be sure to let you know when it's going down again and hopefully you can make it out, it was an absolute blast.
Hey we settled on a date and location for the Ohio DGCR Meetup. It's going to be held at three courses, Delaware, Alum Creek, and Hoover. Here's the link to the "Official" thread. Hope to see you there.
Just returned from possibly the best 3 course trip I've ever taken;
The Black Course, WV
Deer Lakes, PA
Moraine St Park, PA
Simply amazing.
You did not steer me wrong on the Black Course. I must in return recommend the two PA courses. My fav was Deer Lakes. I liked it so much, I may review it with a 5 rating.
Thanks for the heads up on the Black Course in WV. I have added it to my wish list. I'll make it out there sometime this summer. I'll give you a shout when I do.
I liked your review of Flip City. I have to ask did you have a chance to travel 20 miles north and play BEast and Leviathan? Beast has the best hole ever made (#1) and Leviathan with more work will be an easy 5.0 and as challenging as Idlewild. Take it easy.
Sorry for the delay. The group has missed the last few outings.
Damn man. Every time I review a course, I look through the other reviews and I see you've been busy. We agree on most courses.
I reviewed Flat Rocks last night and titled it a favorite, then saw basically the same title for yours.
We need to get in a round.
Whats up, local?
We typically play Mon, Thurs and Fri.
Course depends on players...Hoover, Glacier, Marysville or Lobdell.
There are usually between 2-4 of us.
Interested?
