Pros:
Findley State Park's "Pitch-N-Putt" course is a quick little putter course located next to group camp site #1. This is accessible from the park by turning onto the gravel road before the campground check-in.
+ For what it is, the course is designed very well. Each hole is ace-able, but some tee shots require a little bit of shot shaping. Most holes even have multiple lines to the basket, despite the longest being 130 feet.
+ It's a nice use of old baskets that wouldn't be used anywhere else.
+ A secluded and peaceful place to practice your shirt game.
Cons:
- The baskets are old and not in the best shape. There are designated areas to tee off that are marked with signs and flags, but the tees themselves are natural.
- The longest hole is 130 feet. That's not really a con considering this was designed as a putt-putt course. There are longer options on site.
Other Thoughts:
It's really tough to give this course a score because of how small it is. We'll settle on a "passable" 1.5 for the "Pitch-N-Putt" side of Findley. Make sure you bring plenty of bug spray!
