Pros:

This course was designed for introducing folks to disc golf who have never played before. There is no public course in our area, so we're starting from ground up introducing the sport to our area. It has served it's purpose well at weekly leagues where we change where we throw from each time. It's a great place to work on your fieldwork.

Cons:

Layout is confusing with no tee pads.

Other Thoughts:

As the designer, we were not ready to post this course on this site. Would have preferred to wait till we had some tee pads in. So thank you to whoever added it, but please be advised it is definitely a work in process.

Desolate Disc Golf in Amish Country 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 10, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Millersburg Grace Brethren Church owns about 13 acres of mainly wide open land just outside of downtown Millersburg. The property also has a pavilion and playground.

+ Kudos to whoever is starting the disc golf movement here in Holmes County. Two courses have sprung up in 2019, Grace Brethren and the PRIVATE Skyview Ranch.

+ All 9 targets are still intact. They're just skinny wooden posts with a metal bucket screwed in on top.

+ I could see it as a good place for bored children to toss frisbees around.

+ #6 (I think) is my favorite hole on an otherwise nothing course. It's a downhill putter toss over a shed into a ditch. #1 was also a nice downhill toss.

Cons:

- About half of the tee markers are missing, probably shredded by the lawnmower since they blend in so well. Targets aren't marked with a number either, making navigation impossible without using UDisc.

- There is one tree that comes into play during the entire round, and that was on hole 1. Other than that, a a shed is in play on #6.

Other Thoughts:

Again, I'm glad to see disc golf making an appearance down here in Millersburg, even if the course is boring and impossible to navigate,

#1 is located to the right of the pavilion (brown steak is marked in the ground). It would be nice if the targets and tees were marked better, but it is what it is.

As long as you don't play on a Sunday, you'll be fine. There wasn't a single sole anywhere near this course, and I expect it to stay that way unless baskets are added.
