Pretty, well maintained little multi-use park next to an outdoor community pool. Neatly mown grass with broad-spreading deciduous trees providing shade and defining throwing lanes. Instantaneous and moderately enjoyable bag for the traveling player, located about 20 minutes from the Spokane airport and a 6-minute drive from the Salnave Junior 5-hole course.

Well-mounted baskets caught well and looked to be in pristine condition (but see cons). Informative tee signs (but see cons). Nice course for running aces (but see cons) and practicing approach shots or putting.

Hole 1 has a tee sign but no basket. Hole 2 has a basket but no tee sign. When fully a third of a course does not exist, it is difficult to rate it highly.

Hole 3 basket sits a few feet in front of a sidewalk and moderately busy road. Easy to over-throw and hit a pedestrian or passing car, but also easy to see pedestrians and cars coming. I suppose one could see this as challenging OB near a basket, but I see it as discouraging a potential 109' ace run.

Grass tees with no marker other than the tee sign. Not much wear on the tees, so I suspect the course does not see much use. Near-zero elevation change in the park.

It looks like the missing tee and basket fell victim to recent construction. This is a shame because Haglein could be a lovely beginner course or a nice practice area for experienced players.

I hope that the City of Cheney replaces the missing tee and basket and returns this course to its full 3-hole glory. Unfortunately an article in the Cheney Free Press stated that a city poll found little demand for disc golf. Consequently, replacing the missing parts of the course may not be a high priority.

Anyway, I played from the hole 1 tee to the hole 2 basket, which is probably 230 feet or so with a nice line through the trees. I thought it was the best hole on the course (out of the existing two holes). Maybe they should just change the first tee sign and make this a perfectly decent 2-hole course.

This small community park was fairly empty on a weekday, with one college student studying at a shady picnic table and maintenance workers preparing gardens for planting. The course layout hugs the perimeter of the park, avoiding most park activities (playgrounds, picnic tables, etc.) but on a nice weekend informal activities could interfere with play (or vice versa, depending how you see the world).

Decent sized parking lot next to the community pool and close to the hole 3 basket. I don't know whether the parking lot gets full when the pool is open.
