Other Thoughts:

Ok, let me start this review by saying I feel weird about leaving a review on a course that I helped design, however I want to be able to show this course off with an honest review and some videos of the layout to go along with it. Yes, I did help design this course, but I WILL NOT talk it up just for that reason. Just like every course, there are pros and cons of this one. Now before getting into the review, I must warn you that this course is on the property of Halo Disc Golf & Sports and is ONLY available to play during the shop hours! The course is mainly meant to be a short practice or warm up type of course. ALL of the holes are short with the longest hole being the 360' uphill Hole 8. With that being said, while the holes are short, that doesn't mean that they are not tricky. There are 2 ponds on the course property and we put those ponds in play on 4 of the 9 holes. So if you are uncomfortable throwing across and towards water, this is a course you are going to want to skip or at least know that you may have to play super safe on some of these holes. EVERY single hole on this course has either a Mando or OB that you will have to worry about. Like I said above, while these holes are short, that doesn't mean they are easy. There are 4 different types of baskets on the course. This allows players to play on 3 different baskets that are currently not available to play on anywhere else in Hamblen County. One of the negatives of the course is that there are no concrete tee pads. There are however, 12 bricks in the ground for each tee area to show where you should tee from on each hole. There are currently no tee signs out on the property but if you go inside the shop, the employees can hand you a tee-sign ring to take out with you which will show you all hole distances and OB's/Mandos. To close out the review, I would also like to mention that this course is on a beautiful piece of property and is unlike any other course that you can play in Hamblen County. This is not meant to be a super technical course but if you are visiting the shop and have time to get a quick 9 holes in, I think you will really enjoy this short little course and you may have an opportunity to card an ACE on one of these short holes! If you get an ace, make sure you go in the shop to sign the ace book! If you want to see this course on video, please consider watching the video below where I show off the entire 9 hole layout.
