Great Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 10, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Great small course with lots of obstacles requiring accurate shots.

Great baskets

Well maintained.

Good facilities for after game BBQ's

Cons:

Large walk between first 3 and remaining 6 holes.

Heavily wooded creek off to the right of hole 3 can eat discs!

Fair chance of hitting other park users, especially on the weekends in summer. Beware - use of common sense required! :)

Other Thoughts:

Can get boggy after heavy rain, especially on hole 3.

Jesmond Park Disc Golf 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 11, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Good tree cover, not too much, not too little.
Signs help with navigation of park.
Can get busy in warmer months
Good park facilities, BBQ, Toilets, water ect.
4 sets of tees for variation on each hole

Cons:

Big drains can chew up discs
Only Blue/Red Tees are signposted

Other Thoughts:

Nice little course, nothing overly stressful with the holes. The hard versions of the tees can be quite tricky, but nothing over 200m. Great park to have as a local.

From the course designers 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 26, 2011 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

First basket course in Newcastle
Has 3 tee locations for each hole (work in progress)
Beautifully maintained park, with easy access and parking
Good Mach V baskets

Cons:

Only 9 holes
Public Park can get busy on weekends
400m walk between hole 3 and 4
Signage could be better

Other Thoughts:

This has been a labour of love to get a course in the ground, only the second course in NSW after the Newington Armory course in Sydney. We are very excited to get people out playing so please give it a go and say hi if you see us out on the course.
