STAY ON THE FAIRWAYS 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 21, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Map of the course at hole 1
Map of the hole with next tee on each tee
nice disc catcher baskets

Cons:

DON'T THROW INTO THE ROUGH
No distance on the map or tee signs, bring a scorecard printed off this page.

Other Thoughts:

I read the reviews saying to stay on the fairways, they were not kidding.

Hole 1 I threw my 2nd shot off the fairway, it took me a while to not just find it, but to figure out how to get to it to get my disc back.

Hole 2 threw my drive too far right, again, took 15 min to find my disc in an unplayable lie again.

After those two holes, I started to just lay up on the longer holes so as not do deal with cactus anymore. I am still picking thorns out of my hands and clothes.

Dedicated area for just disc golf. Defined fairways and easy to follow.

Unless you are an accurate thrower, lay up your drives and just go for the birdy holes. You will thank me later.

Ouch Ouch Ouch 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 10, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Great new baskets
Great signs
Course map at #1
Good solid natural tees
Good directionals
Well laid out
Good for beginners to advanced
Some challenging tight fairways
Some long slightly open air it out shots
Good risk/reward
Cactus makes you place your shots accurately
Plays fairly quickly
Is set up to play a 18 hole loop or a 9 hole loop
Not crowded at all
Bathrooms
Good parking
A few decent views
Nice day at the lake
The lake doesn't come into play at all

Favorite Hole(s): #11, #5, #18

Cons:

The lake doesn't come into play at all
Natural tees
No distance on the tee signs
Ouch cactus hurts
Wind off the lake can be a big factor
No trash cans/benches

Other Thoughts:

This will challenge your placement as well as a little distance. Lots of fun, but, if you get in the cactus mounds it can get a little tricky. Ouch ouch ouch.
Bring water if you need any. There's not a place to get any here. All in all if I get a chance to play this course again, I will. I recommend anyone in the area give at least one round. Maybe two... Wear long pants and good shoes if you don't want to be crippled out in the cactus patch.
