Great Little Course Fir The Family! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 27, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

This little 6 hole course sits in a corner of Ketchum Park. It's easy to find as it starts right at the bridge when you drive in. If you somehow miss the bridge, the skate board park and disc course are next to each other. If you can't find the skate board park, you probably won't be able to find the course or hole 1 or your keys.

The course is like a real course only micro sized. The six little holes are all between 110 and 127 feet, I think. The signs are perfect for this course, they're small but do give you the hole # and distance. There are no Par 4s. The baskets are a pretty shade of green Prodigy models. The tee pads are natural with a front board. It doesn't appear there will be much traffic here.

The area off the small fairways is fairly rough with lots of poison ivy so be aware. The fairways are mostly tight with trees lining them.

Each hole is an Ace in waiting. Most players will play this course with a putter. # 1 does require a little anhyser shot. The following five holes are straight.

Cons:

For the clientele playing here, the rough can be problematic. For anyone who's played before, you have no business being in the rough.

Watch out for the poison ivy.

Not for serious players but perfect for a course bagger.

Other Thoughts:

As we drove up, there was a group of about eight playing, a dad, two mom's and like five kids. Two of the little girls were about 5 or 6. They were having a grand ole time. My playing partner had some spare discs in his car and gave this group some of his throwaways. Probably made their day.

So, to summarize:

Great course for course baggers.

Ace Run competitions.

Beginners.

Family play.

Local elementary students.

Players looking for their first Ace or just wanting to rack up a few more.

Rating this course is interesting. I know we should rate it with how it compares to other courses. But, Ketchum Park DGC could be placed in the micro course competition. So I'll give it a 2 with a big wink. If you come and play, just be informed of what you're getting, fun and hopefully a couple of Aces.
