Great urban course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 30, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Long, open holes and some technical ones. Good variety and pretty especially for a course 'in' a city.

Cons:

I can imagine it getting pretty crowded in warmer weather with random people, dog owners, etc.... So keep it in mind when planning when to go.

Other Thoughts:

I think the course designers positioned some baskets/pads so you could use them twice. With just a little bit of creativity, you could make it a 14 hole course using established tee pads and baskets. For example, instead of throwing at # 8 from #8, throw at the basket for 7 (I think).

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 16, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

On this course, you find variety of quite open fairways as well as rather wooded holes, where precision (and sometimes a bit of luck) are needed. This gives you a chance to use all kinds of shots, although lefties will probably have a little easier job. If you go to Prague decided to play DG and want to use drivers as well, visit this course. During summer season, you can get some discs to play with just for refund.

Cons:

When the weather is nice, there are often non-playing people picknicking or just (dog) walking all around the park. Also bevare of pretty much any bushes, which play as great natural OB and caused many discs to be lost.

Pretty Prague 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 29, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

Surprisingly cool course close to the center of Prague.
Reachable within 15min by car (bus about 30min) from downtown, this park is worth a visit when you come to Prague and have some time left.
The first 5 holes are more open field shots with fewer trees but some thick bushes off the fairway and walkways which are declared OB.
The final 4 holes are more wooded shots with some trees in play and narrow passages.
You will have quite a variety of shots (for a 9 hole course) and i found the layout and flow to be pretty good.
Advanced players wont have big problems here though.
In my eyes, this course is pretty good for intermediate players.
Teesigns and mats were in good condition and the area seemed to be well maintained.
Parking is possible all alongside the park.
There is a restaurant in the middle of the park with toilets that are free to use if you ask the staff.

Cons:

Though the flow is pretty good, you have to walk a bit from #5 to #6 and from #9 to #1 if you go for another round. The bushes at the first 5 holes left and right aside the green are thick and thorny.
The wooded holes have many trees and you need some luck to find a gap on hole #9. Some walkways are quite close to the baskets/fairways so watch out for pedestrians.
Locals take their dogs here for a walk.

Other Thoughts:

There was a small (moveable?!) football-goal lying around near hole #1/hole #2 so the fairways on the first holes might be used for recreation.
This was the only course in Prague that i played where i saw other people playing, as i think for a good reason.
Around Prague i found this to be the best course, without driving too far.
Definitely worth checking out when you visit the Golden City
