Pros:
Lakeview Park is a quaint little piece of land sitting on the edge of a cliff overlooking Lake Erie. It's a scenic 9 that is accessible for the entire family.
+ This is a brand new course with mint DGA baskets and nice new tee signs. The signs aren't anything special, but they're bright and easy to see.
+ While there may be a very slight chance of throwing one down the cliff, the course is basically hazard free and great for beginners.
+ #3 provides a fun little skip ace opportunity with a wooded stage being right next to the basket (DudePerfect).
+ As mentioned earlier, the view is phenomenal! You're a stones throw from Lake Erie. There are several benches and tables around the course to soak in the scenery.
Cons:
- Other than the view, nothing about this course really stands out. Most holes are pretty open and bland, especially once you get to the stretch of 4-9. Three of the baskets sit in a triangle formation on an abandon baseball field.
- There are no permanent tees in place as of now.
- Parking may be limited on nicer summer days.
Other Thoughts:
Lakeview Park isn't a course you would go out of your way to play, but it does provide a nice opportunity for beginners to learn the sport before advancing to Lake Shore in Ashtabula.
