Pros:
- Two tee pads and two boxes per hole
- Good signs and easy to navigate
- Never crowded
- Well maintained.
Cons:
- Lots of water
- Unforgiving. If you botch a shot its going in the water or heavy underbrush.
- Difficult for non-military to get access.
Other Thoughts:
I work on base and play Lewis Lake one a week. I'm a novice and I usually play the red pads to red baskets.
The first 4 holes are short and tight with heavy undergrowth. Hole 5 and 6 are fairly open along the back side of the lake. Hole 7 has a very narrow fairway with a canal on the right and lake on the left. Hole 8 is another short and tight hole. Hole 9 is similar to 7 but a bit more forgiving. Hole 10 is fairly open with the lake on your left side. Hole 11 is the most open hole and you can rip it without putting it in the water or underbrush. There are a few trees in the fairway though. Hole 12 is on an island and a fun way to end the round.
The outdoor recreation center by the marina sells discs ($8).
