Back Nine Has A couple Of Awesome Throws. Don't Miss It! 2+ years

Pros:
Lewis Park DGC is kind of a tale of two cities. The older front nine is fun, short pitch and putt playing through a typical city park. Then the brand new back nine plays around and above the swimming pool and two ballfield's.
Wheat land Park is a good sized city park containing an overnight camping area, children's play area, 12 horseshoe pits, a amphitheater, and ballfield's. # 1 starts right by the amphitheater. The front nine has old school fiberglass tee signs. The back nine has these nice new tee signs that I've never seen before. The pads are small concrete ones. The baskets are Discatchers with the yellow rim and numbers. The first few holes are short and play along the creek. # 8 is when you start back toward the parking lot. It's your basic recreational course.
The Back Nine:
The only way I knew there was a back nine is # 18 plays back to the start. After driving all over the nearby fields I finally found where # 10 starts (It's at the corner of the lawn area next to the pool). After 10, walk down the alley above the pool to reach # 11. From here, it's easy to follow.
The back nine features a couple of Epic throws in # 13 and 15. # 13 is a great 382' downhill to a basket just behind the left field fence. Unfortunately, the tee pad here slopes down with the contour of the hillside making for a very awkward run up ( run down?). Also, there is a large travel trailer parked directly in your flight path down some 300'. I'm sure a disc flying downhill at Mach II could break a window. And another question? Do you play the parking lot and ball field as out of bounds? If so, this hole becomes way more difficult as you would be left with about a 100 foot long and 20 feet wide landing zone to hit. If playing these as OB, this hole becomes Professional difficult.
# 15 is an absolute Epic hole, IMO. The basket is only 284' but sits just beyond the right field fence at the base of a very steep hillside. From the pad, you can only see the very top,of the basket. Your drive has to hug the contour of the hill here. It would be easy to sail over the fence onto the ball field or if you go left and land up on the hillside, like I did, you're left with a very steep, but oh so fun, interesting downhill putt. The possibilities here just make for one great disc golf hole!
# 16 and 17 both force you to throw anhysers over the corner of the ball field's fence. # 16 is especially tricky as you're also trying to miss the foul pole and the batting cage's framework. And I also got to contend with the sprinklers being on. They were refreshing on this, a very warm August day.

Cons:
Tee pads are supposed to be level. You don't just pour them to follow the slope you're throwing from. The pads for # 10 slopes upward. # 11 and # 12 pads both slope down following the downward slope. They are very uncomfortable to throw from. Then # 13 is ridiculous. It slopes downward with the hillside. This really detracts from # 13's awesome launch when you're so worried about this pad.
Other Thoughts:
If I played this course on a regular basis, I would never, ever play # 14. This is what I would do every time. I would tee off for 13. Then I would walk a few feet over and throw my tee shot for # 15. You're only throwing # 14, all the way up the hill so you can play # 15 back down again. I'd skip 14 every time.
