Pros:
Cement Tee pads, 2 per hole
DD Vet baskets
Cons:
Only had temp tee signs when I played it
Long walk between a couple of holes
Other Thoughts:
What a pleasant surprise. I really didn't know what to expect when I showed up to play this course.
There is a Gold and a Red layout both with cement tee pads.
The Red layout is not short or easy enough for rec players, its still a more advance level layout.
The Gold layout on the other hand is pretty close to being a Championship level course.
Heavy wooded course, but fair fairways on most of the holes.
Some key things about the course, hole 3 has a built up green. The hole throws up a hill, but the basket sits in the middle of a raised green done very well. (see picture in Media)
Hole 13 is crazy, close to a 1000ft hole along the side of the hill with the lake on your left. Get close to the pin and you have a disc eating creek waiting to swallow up your disc.
hole 18 is a good finishing hole. It's wide open, but over the edge of the lake (well, there was not water in it when I played) it a well done green.
My real only gripe about this course is the long walk to play 9 to 12. On the map it does not look very long, however you have to walk down a dirt road that actually winds around the inlet of the lake. The rest of the course flows well, it's the only issue I have.
Would I play here again? Yes, this course is well worth the trip. Because it's on the other side of the state from the majority of the courses, I don't think enough people know about this little gem.
