Fun Pitch and putt style course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 30, 2021 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Good Baskets - Lightnings I believe
Good signage
Friendly Owner
Lovely setting
picturesque Views and the sort of place you'd go for a walk if not playing Disc Golf.
Sudden Peace just outside the raging noise of the M25 and London
Glamping site, some of the pods to stay in are incredible.
Really lovely feel about the whole site

Cons:

Short holes in the main, putters only to an experienced player.

Rough off the fairway can get thick but I suspect that is more the time I was here and most of the year will probably be fine.

Other Thoughts:

I first visited here about three years ago when it opened and saw the course without a chance of playing at dusk after a meeting with the owner who took me around on a cart. I thought it had great potential and had meant to come back many times since but life tends to get in the way!

It's a lovely site, if you're a camper/glamper I would well recommend it.

The course itself is starting to mature nicely with young trees growing into place. It's an absolutely beautiful spot and you'd never know the M25 and London was just over the hill.

Chris the designer has done a good job laying out a fun course in a sloping field on it's way down to the river

A couple of holes share baskets so be aware as you play and some fairways are close to others but the course is unlikely to be rammed so not really an issue.

In my head driving to the course and remembering that first quick visit I was thinking 1.5 - 2.5 star would probably be what I ended up with but on arriving and finding beautifully cut strips through the longer rough and being blessed with gorgeous weather it became a really pleasant leisurely experience and I was disappointed to have to get back in the car and go on to my next meeting (with that in mind you might want to take a half star of my review for good weather bias!!)

I got attacked by horseflies down on the holes towards the river so be aware if you're there in June when the biting females are at their worst.

It's a stripped back relaxed round of Disc Golf in a lovely setting. None of the holes are signatures, it's straightforward, it's easy and 3's probably too high for the amount and length of holes but there was an intangible here that defies a logical review metric and I hope others would get to experience that same enjoyment.
