Horribly confusing 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 26, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Course would be fine if it was labeled properly. Mostly clean. What little trash there was could easily have been from just the past day or two. Lots of elevation changes, looks like it would be a pretty park during growing season. Good mix of short and long holes.

Cons:

First tee is slick material, the rest of a mix of sidewalk or natural. Only one actual concrete tee. Signs are located at the ends of the tees, affecting follow through for right hand back hand throwers. Only a few holes actually have a diagram pointing to the correct basket. Hole two has a random basket in the middle of its fairway that does not appear to be an actual hole. Number plates on the baskets do not match the actual hole number. Very few signs indicating next tee location. Diagrams seem out of date, don't appear to match up to actual hole layout. Excess leaves make it easy to roll an ankle due to uneven ground beneath leaves.

Other Thoughts:

Get some signage and this would be a great little nine-hole. I do not recommend visiting without a local guide. Very easy to throw on the wrong basket or miss tees altogether. I never did get all of the holes figured out.

By my own rating system, I would give it a 5 out of 10.
.5/1 Some trash cans, not enough.
.5/1 Some benches, not enough.
0/1 Mostly useless signage.
0/1 Tee quality.
1/1 Elevation Changes
.5/1 Use of lines
1/1 Maintenance of lines (no overgrown/storm damaged branches obstructing intended lines)
.5/1 Some trash, but not excessive.
0/1 Too much natural debris.
1/1 Good mix of hole length.

Refreshing Round 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Apr 28, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

-Good use of property.
-Easy to follow layout. (The red paint on the basket indicated where the next tee was.)
-Trees used in a challenging way.
-The two holes that used sidewalk as tee pads were definitely welcome.
- I like the way they created tee signs. (I am thinking of using the same method.)

Cons:

-Mostly without tee pads.
-The holes that did have pads were wooden, and were dangerous as we were playing while the grass was wet.
-Hole #2 could have been better with a clearer route to the basket.
-The course layout on this site needs to be updated to reflect hole 3's new layout. You can see the basket from the goal, so we figured it out.

Other Thoughts:

Overall, I liked this course. The trees were used quite well to provide challenge to a waterless course. I would love to play if I happen to be in the area again. The lack of tee boxes was the real downside for me. Installation of tee boxes would have improved the rating significantly.
